Throughout my case, there was so much miscommunication that I was left without a clear understanding of what my sentence would actually involve and what would be expected of me. I repeatedly felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, my questions were not properly answered, and important details about my plea, probation, and license were not clearly explained to me. I often had to chase down answers myself and do my own research just to understand what was happening with my own case. When I did speak with my attorney, I often felt talked down to and treated as though my questions were a burden. I expected professional communication and patience, especially considering the amount of money I paid for representation. For $5,000, I expected someone who would communicate with me, prepare me, explain my options, listen to my concerns, and actually advocate for me. Instead, I felt like my case was treated as though it wasn't important. Quite honestly, I feel I would have received the same level of attention from a free public defender--and at least then I wouldn't have paid $5,000 expecting personalized legal representation. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this firm to anyone who expects their attorney to communicate with them, treat them with respect, answer their questions, and genuinely advocate for their interests. $5,000 is a significant amount of money. I truly felt that Mr. Habib did not spend enough time on my case and just took the first offer the District Attorney gave him. While I did get a reduction, I still got 2 points for driving 45 mph in 30 mph area. Mr. Habib convinced me that this was the best offer that I was going to get. While this ended up being a nominal fee ($243) on top of the attorney fees ($300), because of the points, it ended up costing me thousands of dollars on my car insurance rates. I read the great reviews of Yelp and picked this firm since I am all the way in California. But I should have done more research. I just thought that since this was such an easy case any attorney should be able to take care of it. Apparently not. Please shop around or if you can, fight the case yourself. I have had much better success going that route in the past. These attorneys will do the minimal amount of work to justify their rates. It's just a numbers game to them. Service as many clients as they can. Stay away.

I talked to a polite professional lady over the phone and during the call she listened to my problem and made me feel like she was concerned and wanted to help me.
