I went for the first time last night because I always thought the name was cute. I had the butter pecan ice cream and my daughter had the raspberry sherbet. It was the best ice cream and sherbet we had ever eaten in our lives. I was not pleased. my family and I came in and it was clear from the young ladies faces that they were not happy about serving us. They did not great us or tell us they would be with us as soon as possible. after helping the family before us, one of the young ladies went straight to her phone to check her notifications and even respond to some of her texts before helping my family. So not only did we have to wait for the family before us to be served but we also had to wait for this young lady to check her phone and deal with her business on her phone. Im not sure if this establishment has a u inform policy but if not they should consider because both young ladies were wearing unacceptably short shorts. short to the point my young daughter and some were flashed her butt cheeks. I went in a week before to order a cookie cake for my daughter's 16th birthday lunch with our family. Lunch @noon at Olive Garden so I asked for the cookie to be picked up at 11am on Saturday the 30th. I even went in to check on it the night before and was assured that it would be done by 11 am the next day. Although the attitude of the workers and their unwillingness to even look for the ticket had me worried. I arrived at 11:30 and they hadn't even started it yet! I was so upset and the girl was like, there is nothing I can do. I can have it ready in maybe an hour. Okay, there's nothing else you can do. Also nothing I could do either as our lunch party was already starting to arrive at the restaurant. Great taste, great service and great price. I miss these in KC. Homemade ice cream with a lot of variety and a great selection of mix ins. I had peanut butter ice cream with graham crackers. Came here with a friend to grab some ice cream and relax. The choices are pretty good and the ice cream itself is nice and smooth. Is it amazing? No, but it's quite fine. As for the atmosphere - well, it's an ice cream place and it's clean so you can't really ask for much more. Finally, the toppings are good but they kind of skimp on the amount. I stopped in to settle a cookie craving this evening. I debated on whether or not to stop, but the cookies were calling my name!!! Unfortunately I'm leaving without cookies. There were several kids working tonight with no adult supervision. They were laughing and carrying on and ignoring their patrons. I waited for several minutes with no acknowledgement. This ice cream place is usually very good so I won't give them a poor rating. However, tonight's experience was less than I expected. They refused to put Mix-ins into my ice cream even though the signage in the restaurant clearly indicate that mix-ins is a big part of the item and that you're allowed to have as many as you'd like. The reason he gave: "we already turned off our cold slab because we're closing in a few minutes." i'm choosing to assume this is not a store policy but the actions of an immature employee. When we got there, the line was pretty long. The reason I'm giving this place a 5 star is not because of the ice cream (that's the cherry on top) but because the guy working the counter apologized to every person once we move up the line. Never once gave attitude or made you feel like you needed to hurry. He was so graceful and very nice. It was by far outstanding customer service. Thank you times a million! We were in search of a fancy milkshake for my daughter and we found it at Maggie Moo's! They made her the most beautiful Cotton Candy Majestic Shake complete with a large sucker and cotton candy and marshmallows...not to mention the most amazing whipped cream/icing! The staff was welcoming and friendly and the shake was made in a timely fashion and served with a smile. First time visit. And last. Went in 30 minutes before closing. It took a while to be recognized though there were 3 employees in the store and no other customers. After one person finally made eye contact--no conversation--my son said he wanted a shake. Again no conversation. Employee simply left the room, went to the back room. While this employee was very slowly making the shake, 2 others went about their business of filling up food compartments, while I waited to order. Waited 10 minutes for the shake and not one person asked what I wanted (I had decided on a Snickers with chocolate). Again without conversation, we paid. The only word said the entire time was "Ya wanna receipt?" It was a $9 shake. No whip cream, no nuts, no cherry. None was offered, either. VERY poor training of employees. I can only assume the poor service was because they were preparing to close. 30 minutes early. RIDICULOUS! read more
