As an Endocrinologist I've experienced him doing things I've never new they were suppose do. He stays on top of his patients, always aware of what's going on through testing, asking questions, listening, and simply paying attention. He is a caring person and doctor. I must also say that he has patience and demonstrates a natural kindness to the disabled (my Daughter has Down Syndrome). He is not "skiddish" as I find most doctors ro be with the disabled. He has an extremely busy practice but does not fall short on kindness and patient to people. He remembers that he is there for his patients and this is another reason why we keep coming back to him. I am grateful for him and his staff who are an excellent representation of himself. I would highly recommend Dr. Jonas Leibowtiz to anyone as their Endocrinologist. Dr. Berin was able to help my husband and I achieve becoming pregnant in a few months, and we had been trying for over 3 years. She is very personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about you as a person. You aren't just another number or another patient, you are part of their family as soon as you walk through the doors. Hours are also accommodating to those who work, which is a plus. Blood draws are no big deal when the girls who are doing it are smiling and are so good at it, you don't even feel it. Everything is explained so that you know exactly what's expected of you and know precisely what the next steps are. These days, it's very complicated to have medical records distributed to your network of active physicians. Records that I had requested of another hospital did not make it to Westchester Medical Center/Dr. Ash on a timely basis. Christine walked me through form by form to make sure that all the teas were crossed and the I's dotted. I highly recommend Dr. Ash for her, no nonsense medical probing and expediency. The team here is managed well from appointment setting through the nursing staff who take your vitals through follow up. I would expect nothing else and nothing less of a teaching hospital. In order for me to see the doctors, I journey over an hour each way - well worth it to get the expertise and level of experience. The care you'll receive is efficient and thoughtful.

My daughters blood was sent over and an appt was made immediately as has every appt since we started seeing her. She reassured me that my daughter was going to be fine and it was completely treatable. I hurt for my child that she is going through this as I don't know a (now 7) child that likes having to have their blood drawn every 3 months... her hair has since grown back and we love Dr. Agarwal. She's sweet with amazing mannerisms towards children. Her treatment plan has had my childs levels where they should be and I am beyond appreciative for her and her amazing knowledge in her field! At one appointment, she told me I needed to lose a significant amount of weight in front of my entire family. This felt completely unnecessary, especially since I had seen my primary care physician the week before, and my weight was never mentioned as a concern. Because of that appointment, I became extremely self-conscious about my body starting at just 12 years old. Every appointment, without fail, she would make degrading comments. On top of that, she ordered what felt like an excessive amount of tests and bloodwork. Overall, my experience was awful.
