Maggie's on the Mountain is a good destination for burgers if you are in the area and craving a pretty solid hamburger. The service here was friendly enough and while the ambiance is pretty much no-frills, it was overall a pleasant environment. When I say it is a no-frills ambiance, I don't mean this in any kind of negative way. A burger is nothing fancy nor was it ever meant to be. A burger is definitely a working man's food and also truly a culinary wonder. It is hard to beat a great burger and Maggie's on the Mountain offersa pretty solid burger. Always a great spot to grab a quick burger, salad or wings. The people are pleasant, the prices are okay, and even when they are busy they normally turn around food rather quickly. I've never had an issue. It feels like a burger joint with an average atmosphere. It's a great place to have small work lunch meetings with casual conversation. read more

One of the things everyone told me about going to Fort Drum is to try Maggies OTM and my expectations were greatly exceeded. I have been here a few times, and the staff is always so friendly. These folks can bust out food during lunch faster than the McDonald's drive-thru. My favorite thing to get is either the bone-in wings or the chicken sandwich. I like that they sell drafts here too. I have never seen Twisted Tea on draft before! read more

I had my husband pick up some burgers and fries on his way home from work tonight. I was super excited because we LOVE Maggie's on the River. Well, the food is completely different and I couldn't be more disappointed. The burger patty is thin and over cooked, the bbq sauce is literally sweetened hot sauce, and the order of fries that I got didn't even match the menu description. The ranch fries on the menu say "grilled onions", but my order had crispy onions. The only good thing about the order was my husband's plain fries - those were amazing. If you're expecting a good quality, juicy cheeseburger, this is not the place for you. It's definitely convenient being that it's on post, but so is Burger King (and Burger King probably has more flavor too). I definitely won't be getting another burger from here. Edited to add: My husband was up sick all night and still feels ill today. Considering I only had 2 bites of my burger before throwing it away but he ate his entire burger, we're thinking it has to be from that. read more

Maggie's on the Mountain was really good when it first opened, and I recommended them to so many people. But the quality of their ingredients seems to keep going down. So to start, this place has a really great atmosphere! Plenty of TVs to catch the game and a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. The bucket deal is where it's at, 5 bottles for $12! Omg the food... words don't describe how amazing everything I tried are. The Pork Wings with an asian inspired glaze are perfectly crisp yet moist. Literally mouthwatering. The Black Maggie's sauce (in house made with dark beer) are ridiculously good. The quality of the wing itself are what NY style wings are all about. Grabbed a basket of Guinness onion rings that actually had a deep rich Guinness flavor to them which was a really pleasant surprise. I had to indulge and get the burger of the day, which was topped with homemade (yes like grandma makes) macaroni and cheese and crispy bacon that holds up its crisp amidst all the ooey gooey goodness. All held up by a soft brioche bun put this burger into my top list. For dessert, the chocolate chip bacon and beer infused cookies are out of this world. The perfect combination of soft and crispy with little delicious crispy nuggets of bacony goodness. These are the only chocolate chip cookies I want now. Came here just for some drinks but it is nothing like Maggie's on the River-so don't get your hopes up. Service was good, especially since we just ordered from the counter. The problem was there was no music, TV's were on without sound, lights were on all the way (fluorescent lighting like an elementary school), and no one was there. Super awkward environment. Almost felt like just a standard Burger King or like the Dominoes next door. This was on a Saturday at 6:00pm. If I was the owner, I'd turn down the lights, put on some fun music (karaoke anyone?), and offer specials, throw out some advertising, and pump the place up. Currently, it's super boring. read more

It was a grey and cold evening when we decided to to grace this establishment with our presence to quench our thirst that our lips yearned. Upon walking in we were disappointed to find the atmosphere grey and cold with fluorescent lighting and zero ambience. We yearned for a place that was warm and welcoming to wash away the sad and cold existence that was the weather outside. Alas, we were welcomed with the same cold and unforgiving environment that we were trying to vanquish.
