Again reassuring her. I will not hold you up. If you don't want to stay the hours you post , change your hours! Unbelievably rude! I'm 25% Colombian so you can only imagine how thick, curly, and easily tangled my hair is/can get. My hair wasn't even frizzy when she was done with it. I got a deep condition, cut, and style (straightened) for only $36 AND the quality of work was to par with what I'm used to in the city. Recently I had some traumatic situations happen in my life causing me to put my hygiene on the back burner, I ended up with a "birds nest" for hair. It was one giant dread lock.. mind you my hair was almost to my waist. I was afraid of the inevitable cut I would need since I'm a big girl and it isn't hard making a cubby woman look butchy, Crystal was awesome!! She did the perfect short cut that framed my round face due to chubby cheeks and I love the options I have with my hair now. Crystal is great to converse with and gives you quality over just trying to get you done so she can move to another client. 2 hours of tedious cutting, washing repeatedly and straightening all the small pieces and she only wanted $22. I suggest this place, ever since they relocated a few months ago the hairdressers are awesome. Jackie is another woman there who can even do a keratin treatment, I only go to Shear Creations for my hair care needs.

She did a good job so I asked if she could book me an appointment with her to touch up the color in my ombre styled hair... Big mistake. My hair looked like I had patchy golden highlights with a root that had grown in for over six months! I thought I would be okay with it, but upon arriving home an hour later I called the salon and asked if the damage could be fixed. I decided to ask for a refund and had my hair fixed elsewhere because why have more damage done to my hair if it could not be done right the first time...? I was told "I don't think we can do a refund" and was out $90... On top of this, while my hair was processing SUNY Potsdam students were outside peacefully protesting. Sarah took the time to go outside and yell, "White Power" as well as make horrific comments to those inside the salon ("I am not racist, but...")... some of whom joined in with the racist banter. Needless to say I will not be going back to Shear Creations anymore. I am appalled the lack of respect for long time customers, but more so for the African Americans in our community.

When brought to the managers attention she didn't even apologize for such activity happening on the businesses premises (which may I add are unmarked where the lot ends,and I was not advised that you couldn't actually park in the parking LOT) She told me that if she were to handle it or report it to the business insurance, they would drop me and no longer be able to service me!the only person that was sincere was their Sunday worker! If you plan on getting your car keyed and kicked in, do not go here. If you plan on relaxing while you tan instead of worrying if your car will be vandalized and exotic will do NOTHING, NOT EVEN REPORT IT TO THEIR INSURANCE, zoom tan is 18.99 a month unlimited level two.
