She also has the patience of a saint because we were a needy bunch! She had two options for our painting - an abstract piece or a framed piece where you could write a saying in the middle. We were split down the middle, half the class choosing each option. Of the saying painters, no one wrote the same thing or her suggested saying. Bless her heart, she had to answer 500 questions and provide 18,000 suggestions for us! She did it all with a smile and lots of enthusiasm. You're allowed to BYOB and snacks, which of course we did. I cannot wait to come back and visit with Kaitlyn and take another one of her classes!

We toured the facilities, the workshops, we actually sat down for some demos from the visual arts department, and then gathered around a kiln for a raku ceramics demo, which was ideal on a cold winter afternoon (winter in Florida?). Also, we were able to visit the gallery, which was hosting a photograph exhibit on the history of turn of the century Lake Apopka, about 40 miles away due West, and that was very interesting and enlightening. We also printed a poster, among other things. Personally, I think it was fun to talk/meet some of the faculty, not that I am immediately looking for a new teacher, but it is good to pick one who has some similarities, or none at all. Challenge yourself. After this visit, I will consider taking some classes here. Or come to more events. I really like Crealdé.

I called today (9 days before the first day) and I was told that it was too late and the last day was Yesterday (10/09/23) (10 days before first session). I pointed out the policy and was told that "session" didn't mean class and it was incorrect so I couldn't get my money back. This is fraudulent. I will be contacting the correct state department for this. This is extremely unprofessional and clearly lacks clarity. If your policy is outdated, correct it on the website. I finally decided on a date . I then sent her my design and it was approved to use. My class was at 12pm on Sunday the 17th and it took about 2 &1/2 hrs to get finish my design . I will say it started off ruff for me trying to grasp the instructions but, once I did I was able to navigate the design . The advise they give is to " Trust the Process" & I can't stress that enough ! After you're done she'll email you once the rug is ready to be picked up . It still has to be trimmed etc. This was an Amazing activity to do solo , for a date night or even as a group . You can also do this family style with the kids. I'll def be back . I def feel like you get your value you paid . The shop is very cute and I look forward to trying some other designs. They will be offering new services this summer like creating a stool design etc so def keep your eye out for updates.

An instructor led us from beginning to end making a bowl. They were very thorough, patient, and welcoming. We sat down on the wheel forming our clay within minutes, I'd say we had our fully formed bowls within 30-45 minutes. They pulled them for us and began drying them for us to glaze at the tables with the turntables. The place was pretty empty so they let us take our time with glaze. Overall a great experience! Would definitely recommend for a date, family outing, or any other event. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit and there are memberships available as well!

There was a group of 5 of us that we were able to stop in and book our timeslot since online was only showing 4 slots. We had very clear and easy to follow instructions. The kids were both able to do their own projects and make their own choices for color. This is such a unique and fun experience and we will be back closer to Christmas to make some ornaments! We visited Florida glass house on a Saturday night for a glassblowing workshop. We honestly had no…read moreclue what to expect going in, but there were 4 people total which is good because it wasn't an overwhelming number. Each of us got to decide whether to make a globe ornament or a flower. The flowers were beautiful, but I'm very utilitarian so I went with a globe. The instructor who also owns the studio walked us through all the custom color blends he makes for his glass and that was awesome. One thing that was awesome about this workshop for someone who had never done any glass work before was that he really wouldn't let us fail. Our instructor was with us every step of the way and walked us through how we should do things and would help us if things were going awry before it became an issue. He was very good at his job and answered all of my questions about his tools and the process without hesitation. He was super friendly and showed us an installation that he was working on for a show soon too. I really enjoyed this workshop, and it's awesome that we got to take something home. I'd definitely go back for another workshop. They also do group workshop events too.

We did an individual paining but he also guided us through a team collaboration painting ensuring that each person had a role in the team creation. This is a great way to get an introduction to various art forms with low commitment. Doesn't matter if you are "talented" or not. I think it's not so much about the end product, but more of the process of creating that is important. Online registration is simple, and materials and tools are available for use during class. Some upcoming classes include scarf dyeing, freeform baskets, and paper marbling. I found the classes to be reasonably priced--others I have looked into were $40 a session, which I thought was a bit much.
