They get as much as two stars because they are much cheaper (about $100 less) than Safelite when it comes to windshield replacement. I guess this is something to do with "you get what you pay for," though. I had them come out a couple weeks ago to potentially repair or replace my windshield after it got a sizeable crack in it. First, I was not pleased that they did not discuss the possibility of repairing the crack -- though that's not a total ding, as I had already figured it probably wouldn't be repairable. Secondly, though: I suppose they did not expect me to be in a situation to watch them as they worked, as the repairman was out there carelessly/disrespectfully throwing the plastic bonnets for the windshield wipers to the ground after removing them. I do not know if they damaged the pieces themselves or they just didn't give a hoot, but when they put them back on, they were no longer lying flush to the windshield as they were before, essentially aesthetically-detracting from the car either permanently or temporarily (I've yet to take a look and see what the problem might be myself). All around, it was an exemplary experience in why I try to avoid mechanics or repairmen like the plague/try to DIY when possible, as more than half the time, you get people like this who will do a sketchy job or damage something in the process, and then still have the nerve to charge you for their BS. read more

We purchased a used vehicle that needed the windshield replaced due to a nasty pair of scratches in the middle of the windshield. Magic Glass had the best price and completed the service quickly. I am sure there are other honest companies out there, however, I know they are honest. I Highly recommend Magic Glass! I was out of town when a side window in my car was smashed in. I reached out to several businesses for the repair and they came in with the best quote. I was able to schedule with them through text messages (which was great because I was at a conference). They were able to get my car in when I returned to town. We were traveling south in our rv when the windshield started falling out. We pulled over and got in contact with this place a day later. They allowed us to stay in their parking lot for slots a week till the parts to replace came in. The people were so accommodating and went above and beyond.... I have taken several vehicles here over the years, and I've always had great service. Most recently, I had a small crisis and they were able to get our vehicle in first thing in the morning. They disassembled the system, inspected it, and determined that it was not needing to be replaced, but just needed to be adjusted and lubricated. And because I was down to one vehicle in our family, I was not able to go pick it up, so they offered to deliver it to me. Their customer service and focus absolutely made my day. Got a Rock chip, and set up an appointment with a nationally televised company to have it fixed but their price was going to be BIG-$$$ to do a 10 min repair. So I looked around on YELP and found Magic Glass, they could get me right in and save me $90. I canceled my Safe-lit* appointment and went to Magic Glass, their tech actually met me when I was getting out of my truck, could see the chip and drove it into the building to fix it right then! I had to have a window regulator replaced in my BMW, this is the second time I've had to have a regulator replaced (different window). Last time I went to the dealership and payed nearly double what I paid at Magic Glass. I wanted to order the part online (was half the price of getting it from the dealership) and I send a link to the part website to Mike at autoglass so he could check it out. He gave me the go ahead to order it and even have it shipped directly to Magic glass, because I could sae money on shipping. They did the work in 1 day and were very reasonable on labor costs. I'm a student at Purdue with a father 4 hrs away that couldn't help me. My AC in my car has been out all summer so I've been using my windows every time I drive. Then my driver side window one day didn't go up. I called around to at least 5 different auto repair places to get a quote on fixing my door/window. Magic glass was by far the most reasonably priced (price I ended up paying =just labor cost of other places, not including parts). The staff was super friendly and kept me updated on the progress. I interacted with a mechanic welcoming me when I came in and offered me some water while I waited, the ladies up front, the owner, and another mechanic. They also worked me in to fix it that same day right before closing because the next day didn't work well for me. It took approximately two hours maybe two and a half hours total, which I'm super happy with. Even though I am in Indianapolis, they were by far the cheapest and most polite place that I called. My son pointed out a chip in my windshield that I hadn't noticed. I had recalled hearing a rock hit my windshield a month or two before, but I had looked several times and had not seen it myself. My view of the broken glass was perfectly obstructed from my drivers' seat vantage point by my rearview mirror. The crack remained out of my view and therefore off my radar for a couple of more weeks until thankfully I saw Adam, a member of the Magic Glass team out in the community. Adam scheduled an appointment for me on the spot which I'm embarrassed to admit that I subsequently missed. Adam followed up though. Although my poor sense of urgency could have allowed for the crack to ultimately sprawl across my entire windshield (which would have certainly resulted in a larger sale for Magic Glass), Adam offered to send someone from his team to me and make the repair in my parking garage at work.
