The place is sanitized between each customer appointment, has an air purifier in the studio, and precautions are taken in place for covid. You have to ring the phone buzzer so that a limited amount of people can enter the building. Make sure to book an appointment since Choi fills up quickly! I'm usually pretty picky with how my hair is cut, especially since Asian hair can be tricky to cut but Choi has always been able to cut my hair based on my facial shape and give me pointers on how to style my hair that is personalized to me. He is charming, soft spoken, attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and gentle. I wish that I had found him years ago, he made me feel comfortable and cared for from the minute I walked into the salon. Because Matt owns the salon and is the only stylist (as far as I could tell), I was the only client in the salon for the majority of the time I was there. This was the first and only time I've had an appointment that didn't feel rushed. To begin my appointment Matt looked at my hair, then we talked about how I currently cared for my hair and the products I was using, we also discussed my concerns about the excessive amount of hair I was losing. We spoke about my lifestyle, diet, illnesses, weight, medication, stress, and the ways in which these changes might be causing some extra hair loss. When we were finished talking, I received the best wash, cut and styling I've had in decades! I have been back several times for trims and some brightening color, and the service I received at each was as wonderful as the first, and I was just as pleased, if not more so.
