My son came home from school and told me that a teacher was angry and had thrown something at him…read moreduring nap time. I'm going to try not to write a book, but include the important information. Ultimately, I had to file a police report. I called and asked for access to the camera feed from that day, we have live video access so I didn't think it was an unreasonable request. The assistant director, Rachel, told me it was no problem and I could view the footage. She asked why I wanted to see it. I explained that I understand how kids are, and I'm not trying to make any accusations, and I explained what my son had told me. Rachel told me she would have to speak with the director and the owner (Jeanette) before allowing me to have access. The owner, Jeanette, called me back and said that if I wanted to view the footage I would need a subpoena. Amidst other things, the conversation was very unpleasant and I completely lost trust in the school because of her management. My husband spoke with her, and he said we would be filing a police report if she didn't allow us to see it. Jeanette then agreed to let me come in and view the film. (After telling us it would take 4 1/2 hours to view, and other tactics to deter us. It took a half an hour to view the feed at 4X speed) Over a minute was missing from the footage when the teacher was right next to my son. When I noticed the huge skip, I decided to file a police report. I feel it's important to share this to other parents making the decision on child care, and to the police because if there is any possibility that an owner of a school is covering up a short tempered teacher who assaulted a child, then a trail is really important. My children are no longer enrolled and they're safe, but I'm thinking of all of the other kids in the class. Please see other reviews on Google too, someone else reported something similar.

Our son…read morehas been there from 3 months through Pre-school; the Admin staff and teachers were incredible; we tried Montessori and had a lot of issues and total lack of communication/transparency, but MCA was top notch, they have an app that updates you through out the day on their activities, eating schedule, pictures, and live cameras. You can message the teachers and they are extremely responsive to needs and concerns not that we had any outside the normal kid stuff. Jeanette the owner is so great and helpful too, its so nice to have someone on the admin side to be available to our needs. Cannot recommend them enough!

It saddens me it has come to this but the experience my son and family went through was detrimental enough that I need to do what I can to feel I've done my part to ensure no other family goes through it. You can have the best daycare teachers and directors, who may love your children like their own - but my family has unfortunately learned that if you have a bad daycare owner, what a huge impact it truly can have. I strongly urge any current or expectant parents to look in to your daycare owners' education and occupational background. If you see nothing about education or community or, even worse, only experience with financial planning, forecasting, portfolio analysis cost savings, control and auditing - please know their intentions are in the wrong place. They dont care about your family's relationship with the facility or even your child's well-being. You are a dollar sign. Having to part ways was heartbreaking because of the nearly decade-long relationships myself, husband, daughter and son had built with so many of the faculty and families. The bigger and quite frankly unacceptable issue we encountered, however, was blatant, documented lies on the part of the owner, that put our son's social and academic well-being in jeopardy. The change we have seen in my son's overall demeanor after only being at another school for a couple of weeks has been mind-blowing. I hate to shine a negative light on a place that meant so much to us for so long and still has many good people at it but, as a parent, I could not forgive myself if I knew I had an opportunity to prevent another child from being in this toxic environment and didn't do what I could the prevent it by sharing our experience.
