Do you like to build things? Want to learn new skills? Do you have a project that you don't have a…read moretool for, and don't want to invest in the tool because it is way too expensive? Want to powder coat something? Then the Manufactory in Cincinnati is what you need. I took a tour of this place, and was amazed. I am a big proponent of the trades. There is not a single part of our society, our world, that isn't affected by the trades. We are so conditioned to think that college is the way to go, that you won't be successful without an expensive piece of paper that essentially says you spent a lot of money and can put up with four or more years of BS. That is simply not true. What would our world be without welders, metal workers, plumbers, printers, carpenters, mechanics, and/or a whole host of other skilled workers doing all of that stuff that is easy to take for granted? I constantly tell my son, "You don't HAVE to go to college to be successful and earn a good, solid living to support your family. What you DO need is a marketable skill (or skills), and the constant drive to be the best you can be in that skill. Some people are well cut out for college, and yes, the world needs college educated people so don't think I'm putting down the collegiate route. But the world also needs skilled tradesmen and craftsmen. Doors are open and available, you just have to make a choice and do your best, be the best in whatever endeavor you choose." I took a tour of this place on 25 July, brought my whole family out there. It was like being in a candy store to me. I was also watching my son, and the look on his face mirrored what I was feeling inside. My four things I was keenly interested in were the Bridgeport mill, the various lathes, the forge, and the CNC. They literally have everything from old school lathes to laser cutters. The business is run on a membership basis, much like a gym. And much like a gym, there are tools and such which require classes before use, such as the welding tools. Also, they have lessons for everything else, too. Just like a gym. In my opinion, you get a lot of value for your money if this is what you're interested in. And just to round off the experience, and perhaps what I like most about the trades, is that everyone there was so friendly. I find that to be true of people who are serious about trades, that they share skills and knowledge. There is nothing better than correctly creating the thing you want to create and seeing someone you are teaching create that first thing they want to create. Check them out if you're in the area. They offer free tours and I don't think you will be disappointed.

I finally took that step and signed up here and I truly mean it when I say that this is the best decision I've taken. I don't even know where to start, Steve is the best teacher anyone can ask for. He's always honest with his feedback and that's what I like because he's not gonna give you something you want hear but always something you need to hear so you can improve and always stay on top your game and I truly respect that. Coming to my co-actors/peers, these guys are awesome, they just make you feel at home the second you walk in and it's only been a few months but this group people just feel like family to me and I made some great friends. Not only is it great to act and do the scene but also, watching these amazingly well talented group just go at it with their scenes. I'm glad I chose to go here and meet these people and I feel BLESSED to have a teacher like Steve, who treats every person that steps foot in the studio like family and also, really knows this craft. If you're thinking to start acting and give this a nice try, DO NOT HESITATE, come join the fun.

You can leave a msg, but they refuse to return the call. Others in the class reported the same experiences. Your tax dollars at work! I Googled the address, but had to try a few times because the street for Bldg 303 was not given. I got directions from Google, but then the directions told me to turn onto a one-way road, the wrong way. Give yourself extra time and take food and water.

I'm continually impressed by the growth of all her students (with widely varying levels of experience) in a variety of mediums (acrylic, watercolor, pastels, pencil...) and techniques. I had absolutely no art experience and am amazed at the art I've created with her. She knows her stuff - she has taught at the college level, and her awesome paintings hang around. And you can't beat the price for her 2-hour classes with individual attention. One caveat: if you need structure, this probably isn't for you. Everyone is working on their own project and their is no strict "syllabus" to work through. I've come to really enjoy that

Our Cincinnati art classes are offered after school, evenings, and weekends with ongoing registration. We specialize in art lessons, drawing lessons, painting classes, painting lessons, perspective training, and mastery of color in our Anderson Township studio near Mt. Washington on the East side of Cincinnati, Ohio. Using a step-by-step method, students of all ages are taught basic drawing and painting skills which result in art work that is both realistic, attractive, and worth of showing. Our art students experience the excitement and fulfillment of creating art as they are taught on an individualized basis according to their personal skills and abilities. Each student moves ahead at his or her own pace. This enables our students to attain the artistic "tools" they need to create art for the rest of their lives. Our goal is to make art lessons accessible and affordable and we believe that a strong foundation of real hands-on skills will enable students to eventually follow any artistic path they choose. The student explores drawing and painting mediums such as charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, pencil, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and oils in a creative and fun environment. These are real art lessons. We teach drawing and painting skills: perspective, composition, value, line, form, color, and style.
