We also knew this is what Italians must think Americans eat so we were ready to be disappointed, but it wasn't so bad. This is a chain. The equivalent of an Applebee's in the US, but the food is fresher. The burger was surprisingly decent and the fries were good too. My friend got the wings which looked good too, but I was too full to try them out. The ambiance was that of a chain restaurant but the service was good. All in all, nothing spectacular but good for a quick bite.

The ones that were bigger, were often taken up by smaller parties unfortunately. I noticed one table for four was wrapping things up so told the hostess we wanted to wait. This somehow also annoyed her. Extra customers seemed to be too much. When finally sitting down and having the same lady assigned to our table, it got worse. She seemed to really dislike me and ignored our table for quite a bit. We thankfully caught the attention of another waitress who, after talking with the first waitress, continued to help us out. After being there for 20 minutes, we finally got to order. We waited and waited and waited and realized we would miss our flight if we did not leave in the next ten minutes. We had been there for an hour. We told our waitress and she asked if we wanted it to go. We said yes, yet minutes flew by and nothing happened. We got up to pay for the drinks. Making it clear we would only pay for those, our food suddenly made a speedy appearance. We ended up eating our fries and BLT Burger on the plane and it was so yummy. That is what makes this a 3-star because the food really was spot on. Unless you have loads of time before your flight, I would suggest eating elsewhere or to order to go.

Well, we were certainly surprised by how good an airport restaurant could be. I had the beef carpaccio (I mean, who has raw beef at an airport?!?). It was delicious...the beef was tender and fresh. And they paired it with a really tasty Rosso beer. My wife had a burger and enjoyed it very much. Our servers were friendly and very helpful in deciding on what to eat. And even though the place got very busy during the lunch rush, they made sure we were well taken care of and never rushed us out or implied they needed the table. All-in-all one of the better airport restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something good and quick on your way through FCO!!!

Another ordered a Caesar salad with Impossible Chicken and it was pretty bland tasting. This was after the staff delivered the wrong meal to the table. Myself and another ordered the Chianin burger and a Smashburger respectively. They were also bland and fairly tasteless and I tried each dish. One side of fries with any meal can feed a small army, so order accordingly. This place sells an old USA Wild West theme with questionable signage ("Indian People", really???) and a bunch of other memorabilia, not necessarily Old Wild West. That is where they put their money, certainly not in the food quality or food preparation. I won't be returning to one of these places as I would rather have good food and minimal ambiance. I selected the Paccheri from the Pasta first course side. We shared an appetizer of Fritto Misto while waiting for the meal. We especially loved the fried ascolane olives & supplì (filled with rice, tomato sauce, and mozzarella). These were very tasty. The Paccheri sauce (carbonara) and seafood (mussels, clams, & octopus) was absolutely delicious. The pasta was a little too al dente for me. I think it's preferred that way in some regions. I forgot to ask them to cook it longer. It's a thicker pasta, so I didn't really know. My husband's pizza looked wonderful. He appeared to enjoy it. I'll let him write his own review. I would definitely revisit if ever in Lido di Ostia again. There were so many great options on the menu with affordable prices. It appears to be a popular restaurant. There weren't many seats left indoor or outdoor as we were leaving. The cooler weather in the month of May was perfect. It was a beautiful day!
