After getting done with my weekend getaway in Rome, I went to FCO Leonardo Da Vinci airport to await my flight back to reality. My girlfriend's flight was an hour earlier than mine, which gave me some time to wander around the terminal to see what it had to offer. I was a bit hungry, as our flights were very early morning, and we didn't have time to get breakfast. So I looked for the best open food place available. Beercode was that place. I checked out their menu, and decided on the chicken and mozzarella sandwich, which came with sun dried tomatoes. To drink, I ordered an Americano and a bottled water. The sandwich was pretty tasty, with the sundried tomatoes adding a nice kick of flavor. The coffee was ok. Later on I learned it was only 1 shot of espresso. But that was not a big deal, as I got stronger coffee later on in my itinerary. I got here just before it got very busy, which happened pretty fast after I sat down to eat my meal. The place is pretty big, has ample seating, and is kept clean. The staff members were great, they kept the place running smoothly. This was a nice stop along my journey back to my clinical rotation site. If you find yourself in this part of FCO airport, give this place a shot.

AWESOME! The airport food game in Italy doesn't suck. We stopped in for lunch. Had the Pozzuto and buffalo mozzarella, VIP (Very Italian Panini) and the fried appetizer. This included two stuffed olives that were the bomb! The service was pretty good, even though they were super busy. Would recommend.

We stopped at this place for a light lunch in-between flights. It's located in a food court, and I must say that we cruised the entire area a couple of times before deciding where to eat, because every place seemed appealing. At the end we decided to go for Beercode because it was the only place offering a wide variety of food "portions-wise": here you can find a few tapas, small panini, mid-sized focacce, but also hamburgers "American style". They have a full service dining area and an "outside" bar area. We had plenty of time, so we decided to sit and have just some tapas. We ordered mozzarella di bufala with prosciutto, focaccia with ham, and olive ascolane (fried olives) and accompanied the food with a glass of Prosecco. The food was really good, however I can't say the same for the service: the waiters were never around and when they were, it was difficult to get their attention. That is why when we stopped here again (on our way back to the US) we decided to eat at their bar area. This time we ordered panini, and they were very good as well. Everything is at very reasonable prices.

Underwhelming food and stressed out staff. Bland food even though they only had 2 Neil options on the menu. The coffee was cold. Go somewhere else.

Had a nice experience while waiting for the flight, staff was super friendly and helpful. We only snack a few things and they were really good. The potato deep were nice, crunchy and hot. Beer was nice and cold. Nice, fun and clean. Really recommend it if you are at the airport

We chose this location to have lunch while waiting for our flight. They had a decent menu and a reasonable selection of draft beer. I had their twizzle of vegetables. It was a plate of grilled vegetables. It was very good. The service was efficient and friendly.

Overpriced for the quality, service was extremely slow and the waitress acted like she couldn't care less.

The food is awful! The service is abysmally slow. In a country known for its cuisine, microwaving chicken should be a capital offense.

Our experience took place on 10/07/2019 or put in EU dating 07/10/2019. We chose to sit at the bar for the experience. However, had the weather been better, we would have sat in the shabby, chic, Miami-style club area outdoors. Several nick-nacks, include an old stove, set the mood. "The Place" is full of antique records, radios, drawings, art, etc. Definitely a great place to set any kind of mood. The drink menu includes classic drinks like the Manhattan, gin & tonic, etc, but sampling the signature menu is likely the way to go. Antonio takes his craft very seriously, while also not forsaking the fun. We chose the spicy manhattan. The trip down pepperoncini row takes the drink to a new level. The ambiance and experience sitting at the bar can only be trumped by the commitment of the staff to further enhance the experience. Essentially, they made us (Americans with little in the Italian language) feel at ease and welcomed. Quickly, we were presented with baccala crostini with a spicy pepper oil dropped in the middle. Perfecto! The menu is referred to as soul food. The Italian meaning behind this is essential, "food from the heart". The Place is not your stop for traditional Italian fare. If you are seeking an experience that blends traditional Italian cuisine with a new age flair, then The Place is your destination. The menu for the evening included a BBQ'd polpa (octopus) tentacle on a bed of arugula, dressed lightly, and glazed with a creative BBQ made in-house. Perfect is the only way to describe this dish. The temperature of the tentacle, perfecto! flavor, perfecto! We also chose one of the 3 burgers available. Think fine dining meets burger. The portion is modest, but adequate served with pomme frite. Burger temp completely slipped my mind, but the burger arrived slightly less than medium-rare (my ideal temp). A juicy flavor punch that was not gamey nor industrial. One can tell that these patties are ground in house, blended, and seasoned ready to serve. Don't get stuck on the first page, explore the entire menu before diving in. It may be worth ordering several plates to share. I would expect that you will not be disappointed. Couple the creative drinks with eclectic, explorative food, and you have a winner in Fregene. We left with dinner for two and two drinks per person with a total of 58€. Given the experience, quality, and commitment to creating a food centro in Fregene, we thought this was extremely fair. Guys, thank you for a great experience in Fregene, our last night of the trip! We found you on a whim, bought in hook, line, and sinker, and you did not let us down! Do not skip The Place, if even for only cocktail hour or digestivo. We will definitely make it a point to come back.

Old vinyl records, chairs and chests found in some antique shop, rocking horses and toys that remind us of when we were little boys. All this things creates a magical atmosphere a little bit.. nostalgic. However, the strength of this activity are the cocktails. The barman is a professional of the highest caliber. Outside the local there is a large garden furnished in vintage style.During the summer after the 7pm it's really nice to stop in the garden and take a drink and an appetizer.Even in winter it is nice to get away from the chaotic city of Rome to enjoy the fantastic cocktails served by the "Sclub" cocktail bar.
