Decided to give them a second chance after our initial experience was sub-par. We won't be going back. We waited over an hour for our food while tables with steaks were being served within minutes of being seated. We were told the kitchen was backed up but that clearly was NOT the issue. Due to yelps rating system the lowest score I could give this place is a one star review. At best this place might earn half a star, only due to their margaritas. By chance we choose to try this restaurant, and were quickly regretting our decision. From a party of four being seated at a table that is better suited for a bistro. Not wanting to take money away from the server we made due. We had to remove every thing from the table just to make room for the appetizer let alone the meal. The French Fry Pie was edible and a good size if not for the undercooked beans in the chili. As for the entrees this place failed miserably. Two of the plates ordered were the large baby back ribs and the smoked chicken plate. Both meats were so dry and over seasoned with peppercorn that the bbq sauce couldn't save it. As for the wait staff, there needs to be better training regarding the menu listings as well as the prices. (Apparently the prices had gone up from what their menu said) Ordered the large ribs, but what came out was the full rack. After a few bites of the ribs the plate was given back to the server. When the server asked what to do with the plate, she was told to throw it away it's not to my liking. This should have been a clue to the server that something is wrong. As for the bill we noticed that the server charged us for the whole rack instead of the large rack that was actually asked for. This wouldn't have been much of a problem if not for having to get the menu and show the server that there are actually three different quantities of ribs that is offered. In short if you want to throw away your money on inedible food this is the place for you. If you want a nice place to eat with the family that has good food, then this is definitely not the place for you. Run don't walk away from this place. read more

My meal was $96.00!! This business deserves a zero!! For 2 nasty burnt steaks!! I've never known an establishment that does this!! Yes, MAGNOLIA BLUES!! They refused to refund my money, kept the burnt up nasty steaks, and didn't give me a refund and didn't offer to re-cook steaks or anything! I had to call the police and still walked away with no food or no money. The manager of the restaurant, sat there smiling and laughing and as she repeatedly told me I wouldn't be refunded my money back. I spoke with the manager, Actually by phone before going to Magnolia Blues and I was told to bring the food back to receive a refund but after I got there she told me she contacted the store owner and he told them not to give me a "refund" !! Later , I contacted the police department and then the owner shows up and refused to refund my money or replace my meal .. then the once the police show up, the alleged owner, requested to speak to the police " privately", and still refused to replace or refund my money!! Oh and then he arrogantly requested that I post to Facebook about his poor business!! DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE! Trust me you'll regret it!! They must be really hard up for money!! Showed up at the 30min mark and waited in the parking lot for 1hr 25min. All the while being reassured "just a few more minutes" by the staff who were continuously conversing with other patrons in the parking lot. When we walked in you get the feel like it's a good place for the locals to have drinks. There is a small bar and a few tables in the first room. We sat in this room and were waited on by the bartender. She was very nice and provide us with really good service. I had BBQ Plate with slaw and beans. The meat was tender but the flavor was just ok. I didn't find either of their sauces appealing. The beans were just gross and the slaw not much better. Our server was very sweet, and the pulled pork sandwich was great. However. The barbecue sauce is not good. It tastes almost like ketchup. The baked beans are not good either. The macaroni and cheese is amazing. And even though our server was super sweet, my drink was not checked for a refill the entire time I was there, and we were not checked on much at all.
