Came here based on the online reviews. Stayed a few minutes away for work and the menu looked diverse that it would appeal to a group of coworkers. It did not disappoint. Got seated quickly and got a few of the seasonal cocktails and they were outstanding! Order an appetizer, and got the special, which was a fish dish, and it was phenomenal! I ordered Patio 44 on a delivery app because I didn't feel like going out. The food was still surprisingly pretty hot once it got to me(I wouldn't complain even if it wasn't). I really liked the sticky chicken. It was tender and crispy with a sweet sauce. The grits had a few clumps, but the sauce was so good I barely noticed!! The grilled fish was also pretty good. My only complaint is that it was a bit oily and lacked flavor(which the sauce also helped). I would love to sit down and dine in someday. read more

I had a pretty good experience with Patio 44. We had a large reservation that ended up being significantly smaller than anticipated. The restaurant pivoted easily and we had a nice Saturday brunch. I tried fried green tomatoes, beignets, and the red beans with chicken. I really wanted to try the field peas but didn't have the appetite for that extra order. The patio is expansive and there is a little water feature in the center. 5 stars for the yummy food and nice atmosphere. Minus 1 because the service was slow. read more

Server was very attentive without hovering. While the patio is nice, we opted for indoor which was cozy and quiet. We had wonderful conversations without screaming. The food was excellent! I'm assuming he was a manager, regardless, i always appreciate this gesture. at the time we had been promptly greeted by Chelsea. service went a little downhill from there. needing drink refills and condiments and having to ask typically sets a bad tone of service for me. we ordered the pea appraiser, roast beef sandwich and shrimp tacos. each dish was good. nothing was great. the food experience along with the mediocre service won't have me returning any time soon. i was really hoping for a better experience this time when my lunch dates selected the spot. sadly, nothing today changed my original opinion. read more

We spent the week in Hattiesburg and all the places we ate were good. But Patio 44 was really good! We sat out on the patio during a rainstorm so that brought a unique atmosphere to our experience. We had a large group and ordered many different items. Service was perfect. Everyone was pleased. I had the crab cakes with asparagus. We came in with reservations for a large crowd after med school graduation, and there were several other large groups from the same event arriving around the same time. We were greeted kindly and seated quickly, with our server arriving quickly. Deejay D served us our entire meal and was absolutely fantastic. So kind and attentive! Made sure we had all that we needed but didn't drive us crazy. Even with multiple very large groups, everything went off very smoothly. Food was delicious, as always. Chloe is an excellent server! She was friendly, helpful and super personable. She even mixed honey and mustard together for my 7-year-old to eat his chicken fingers. The crab fondue app was amazing! The bread that came with it was warm, soft, and delish!! I had a watermelon marg which is a "summer cocktail" and loved it! My husband had the redfish and gouda grits!! Beautiful and he loved it! I ordered the crawfish nachos and "OMG!!!!" Those are HUGE!! So tasty!! The tortilla chips are the BEST chips I've ever had. I cannot rave enough about this place!! We sat in the front covered patio area which was nicely lit and had more of a courtyard patio vibe The menu has a lot of enticing options. The cocktails were well made. Our server was helpful, and the service was fairly quick. The pricing is a little higher than other restaurants in the area, but it's worth it if you want a nice date night or family outing Some tips: If you have kids, ask for a coloring menu with crayons to keep them occupied while you enjoy a cocktail or some appetizers. We sat outside and enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco and we were helped by the lovely DJ who recommended the best of the best flavor combinations. He was very attentive but not too overbearing. We arrived and were seated inside at a table with something wet all over it. We were ignored for about ten minutes. Someone finally wiped off table. Five more minutes or more our server took drink orders and we eventually ordered the pimento cheese fritters and they were delicious. That's the only good thing we had. Duck strips were rubber, Nachos were bad. The chips were fried in bad oil and/or, not fresh. The flavors on top of the chips, not good. Our server was about the worst we have had in a long time. The customer service was A1 from beginning to end which i greatly appreciate as an avid traveler. The ambiance was pretty chill and laid back which i also enjoyed. I ordered an old fashion and the fish and grits. Old fashion was pretty good and consistent with other old fashions I've had. The fish was pretty well seasoned and cooked all the way through the grits I thought could've been a tad bit more creamier but no real Complaints there either. First, the Blood Mary ordered spicy was perfect, nice bold flavor, perfectly seasoned with pickle okra and olives. It was spot on perfect! Ordered the debris fries as an appetizer which was covered in lots of roast beef and cheese. Very filling! Second appetizer was the crawfish nachos. OMGosh! Amazing! Freshly made chips, tons of toppings and lots of crawfish. Entree was the seafood platter, though it wasn't listed on the menu, you can order with everything crawfish, shrimp, oyster, fish and fries. The fish was my favorite. Cooked to perfections... flaky moist fish with a well seasoned crust. Great service, great atmosphere! We ate inside which was dimly lit and comfortable.
