We also gave up the possibility of pipes freezing and callous prevaricating management. The management is always helpful here. The building is always clean and the residents care about each other and the building. It has an amazing sense of community. It's next door to Baker Park and a healthy walk to downtown through the park. There is a beautiful community garden and plenty of wildlife from deer to foxes. Yesterday, I saw a hummingbird attracted to the beautiful community garden. If you like being in town yet near the park, this building is a great place to live.

I've rented apartments in my day - and I've rented a few - but I just can't get over what a gem…read morethis one is! I was new to the area, having moved from out of state and had no idea what to expect beyond the sticker shock on rents in the NorthEast. I can't begin to list the +ves: Location: I doubt there's a better location in town! Next to the park, a lake and few clicks from a quaint yet bustling downtown (on weekends anyways). The park is gorgeous with huge old growth trees and a jogging track, tennis courts, baseball pitches .. even has fireworks on new years' Insides: this one is a chip off the old block. I think it was built at a time when construction quality and 'trueness' of design was the norm. I am a mid-century modern design buff and for me this is 'good design'. Minimal wastage of space, great storage space, clean clean clean design, great light admittance And GOOD QUALITY fixtures (by apartment standards of course - don't expect Kohler designers). Our apartment has (i think) the original wood floors and the it just oozes with that mid-century modern charm. Maintenance: On-site and on call! The maintenance person is literally a call away and always around. He even helped us move in on a Saturday when the manager was away. Which brings me to the manager - who's just the person this place needs. I'm sure the daily and long term upkeep is in no small part her credit. Outsides: The grounds are lovely - as you see from the pictures ... it says a 1000 words. Looking out the window is like watching a photograph! Building is well-kept and very well cleaned.... very clean Security: Access-controlled gates and some of the senior residents hanging out in the lobby make sure no undesirable elements walk in :) Over all: For the money, I'm quite sure one would be hard pressed to find a better place in Frederick and surrounding areas. For me, there are more than a few easter eggs here that send this property over the top - like the cool retro-modern design and the proximity to the park and the views out the windows. The security doesn't hurt either, although I haven't been here long enough to hear about any issues. So, if you are in the market, put this one on your list - you won't be wasting your time :)

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Bainbridge at Market Commons. The community itself was great, and the…read morelocation was incredibly convenient. However, a few issues made the monthly cost feel like it didn't quite match the value. While the main complex and clubhouse were aesthetically pleasing, the apartment itself left something to be desired. When I moved into my brand-new unit, there were several spots on the walls that needed touch-ups, but I was told I had to fix them myself. The overall build quality felt rushed, which is more of a reflection on the construction rather than the management. A recurring frustration was the recessed lighting constantly going out--nearly all had to be replaced within my 14-month lease. Additionally, my refrigerator kept tripping and shutting off while I was away (I work 24-hour shifts), and maintenance's solution was to plug it into an outlet where the cord was visible instead of addressing the root issue. That said, the layout was fantastic, and I really appreciated the spacious shower and full-size washer/dryer. A major downside was the lack of internal communication within the main office. My move-in was slightly rocky due to confusion about my storage unit and key access, though Sade resolved the issue quickly. Later, when I needed something from my storage closet, I found out that the lock had been rekeyed due to a miscommunication between the office and maintenance. While the issue was swiftly resolved, both parties blamed each other instead of taking accountability. The most frustrating example came at move-out. I provided my 60-day notice and forwarding address to the property manager, only to be contacted later by the assistant property manager saying they needed that information to proceed. When I explained that I had already provided it, I was told that it should have gone to them, not the main manager. Tenants shouldn't be responsible for navigating internal office processes--communication should be seamless. Despite these frustrations, I did enjoy my stay. The staff seemed to change frequently, but Sade--who had been promoted since my move-in--remained a breath of fresh air throughout my time there. If location is your top priority, Bainbridge at Market Commons is a great choice. Otherwise, it's worth researching other options in the area to ensure you're getting the best value for your money.

She took the time to walk me through every step of the application, answer all of my questions, and that kind of patience and dedication is rare . When I finally moved in, we ran into a small issue with our oven. I mentioned it to the office and, to my surprise, maintenance came out the very same day. Not only were they quick, but they were also extremely friendly and professional, which gave me a lot of confidence about how well the property is cared for. It's honestly the best location you could ask for if you're not interested in living in the noisy downtown area but still want to be close. I would drive 10 min to downtown and if you're ambitious you could bike there easily. And if you like to walk or run, you have a pretty wide open space across the street in the industrial park. There's a cornfield to walk around as well as a small trail that goes along the Monocacy river. I only ever passed a few people over there each time. And sometimes I sat down at the river for some real solitude - it was divine! I also was fortunate to get a ground floor apartment facing the golf course, so my views were great, and I never felt unsafe as a single female living there. It was a quiet and peaceful complex for sure. 2. Trash - no problems here. I think people take for granted an apartment complex where you can take out your trash and boxes at any time and day of the week, and at this complex, that's the case (no valet pickup so halls never got stinky, for example). The trash compactors were usually emptied, but sometimes it would get full and you'd see trash lying around. But the management managed to clean it up quickly so I never saw this as a con. 3. Parking - plenty of it for you and visitors! No towing issues or break-in issues. HUGE! 4. Maintenance - I didn't have too many maintenance calls but when I did they usually came within the same day or next day, and the main guy was SUPER friendly, which made a huge difference! 5. Never had an issue with packages getting stolen at my doorstep. Neighbors were friendly! Cons: 1. The wall in my den that I shared with my neighbor was thin, so you can hear what they're saying if they speak loudly enough. Same with my upstairs neighbors - I could hear them laughing or sneezing but not full on convos. But it was fairly minimal and shouldn't be a reason to not live here, just be aware. 2. I would see little black beetles in my apt during the warm months, but they would die pretty quickly once inside, and they weren't any cockroaches or bedbugs. But there were some spiders, too. Living on the first floor, that's to be expected though. The complex does pest control, but I hired my own pest control in the second year of living there (Budget Bugs) and I saw a 90% improvement and it was only $70 so it was worth it. 3. There was no fitness center! They never reopened it after COVID for some reason. I would have liked to have used a treadmill when the weather wasn't great. Bummer!
