Fresh corn tortilla breakfast tacos! Yum.

Of the many taco joints in BCS, this is my go-to breakfast taco place. Now frankly, its practically a dive, and kind of hard to see from the street. The interior is spartan and no English is spoken here. So what's the deal? 1. House made tortillas that are delicious. I like the corn ones, and they have some real texture to them. Once they made the fresh for me...I really appreciated that. 2. The selection on offer differs from the usual stuff you find. My breakfast taco of choice is the "green eggs" which presumably are green from chile and cilantro. If there is another reason, I don't wantto know. There are strange things on red sauce with cactus that are delicious. Don't ask me what they are. With workable Spanish, you can wrangle a explanation out of the friendly ladies working here. A cheap interesting breakfast to get you going. Thank you Dave F for inspiring me to try this sketchy looking place!

Wonderful place. The food was great. Don't let the small size of this place discourage you

I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt people…read moreshould know. The atmosphere was uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. An older woman wearing a purple polo was yelling from the kitchen at one of the servers. She was so harsh that the server ended up crying, which was heartbreaking and incredibly unprofessional to witness as a customer. The most disturbing part of our visit was when a roach crawled across our table while we were eating. A woman with short hair and glasses, who identified herself as a manager, came over, saw the roach herself, and offered me a discount on my shrimp and grits. She also told me they've been battling roaches because the business next door had them and that they've been placing traps behind all of the coolers. Hearing that while trying to eat completely ruined my appetite. To make matters worse, I watched cooks come out of the restroom still wearing their aprons, which is a major food safety concern. Every time the kitchen doors opened, I could see into the kitchen, and I never saw anyone wearing gloves while handling food. Between the employee being yelled at until she cried, the roach on our table, the manager discussing an ongoing roach problem, and the food safety concerns, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I won't be returning.

The only complaint you will hear from me is simply that it was freezing in there. It's January and we had just had the big ice freeze, but with that being said they couldn't keep it warm and we wound up leaving our jackets on and asking for hot water just so we could warm our hands. I had an apple mimosa and a lavender latte. Both were amazing. I love that I can come in and order alcohol in the morning with my breakfast. I also ordered the spuds deluxe. I got my hash browns crispy and my eggs over hard. I also got them with ham and fresh jalapeños. They were everything I wanted. Our server was very professional and checked on us several times throughout the meal refilling our coffee and water. Despite the freezing weather we will be back. Definitely give it a try if you are wanting a nice breakfast with lots of options. Next time I'm gonna try the habanero pork belly fried rice. Our friend got it and it smelled so good! Not to mention he said it was delicious and ate all of it. No tastes for anyone. Ha ha

I ordered the Upcluck and Away mac and cheese, plus a snack portion of the chicken and waffles with the maple aioli sauce. The food was definitely the highlight. The mac and cheese was really good, and that maple aioli sauce on the chicken and waffles was so good. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portions were decent for what I ordered. I also got the banana brûlée matcha. It was good, but the matcha itself didn't taste ceremonial grade. It had a slightly chalky texture that took away from it a bit. One downside was the wait. I stood in line for about 30 minutes, which was longer than expected. Overall, the food hits, especially if you're craving something savory and indulgent, but the wait and the drink quality keep it from being a higher rating for me. I'd still come back, just maybe at a less busy time, so not the weekends at all!
