Service Requested- I had really pretty Barbie nails and I wanted them removed- I will include my nails photo before! I asked for them to be removed. Add a manicure and paint black! They were rough on my nails! Plus the job she attempted was absolutely rubbish! She didn't cut cuticles, smooth out my nails or even buff them on top of she didn't even shake them! When she finished painting she wanted to cure them, I flat out asked her if she was done? She said yes I paint black. Quality- if I didn't have to give a star I absolutely wouldn't give them any! Vibe- the store absolutely needs cleaner, the counter top is super messy, covered in debris from nails being done, as well as lots of stains. While waiting there was an older couple who kept bringing in weird packages and black bags! Hygiene/ Sterilization- is not being kept up at all! They used un sanitized clippers and other tools- luckily I had my own and asked to use those! Please! Be safe and aware of things here at this business. They also did not wash hands between clients- some clients were having their toes done and then the gal would come back to my nails! I also want to make note they did not have any prices posted- and nail prices for clients in shop would be spouter off- the service workers would argue what the cost was going to be! It's 4:09 PM- and whoever the gal was that did my nails- decided to call my phone because when I made my appointment I called same day. She was telling me how I need to make appointments- I'm well aware of how to make appointments as this isn't my first rodeo getting nails done. She also texted me- and I screen shotted how she does business! Absolutely unprofessional. read more

I went in once for a dip manicure and they did not cut my cuticles or buff my nails before applying the product. I was satisfied with the colors so I gave them the benefit of the doubt despite not getting what a usual manicure entails. I decided to give them another try so I schedule a pedicure. They sat me down & started my water. The lady was about to buff my old gel when another woman walks in and says she has an appointment for 10:30 . So she tells me "I'm going to help her first then come back" she goes and gets the other lady started & comes back after about ten minutes. I felt that was rude & my water was starting to get cold. She started to buff my old gel & applied the cuticle remover cream. Then she switches with the owner & the owner literally fake cuts my cuticles in a hurried manner! Like she is putting the tool on my skin but not clipping anything! I was shocked. I told her there was still cuticle & she only took it off my big toes. She seemed rushed as she kept accepting walk ins while already having people to service. She then asked if I want my nails cut and I said no just the shape to be sharpened to square. She is really rough and keeps getting my skin even after I told her it was hurting. All that for the shape to be rounded. Then she switches to another employee for my pedicure (3rd one servicing me now) she paints my nails with the gel & It's super lumpy. When I got home I realized there was still old pink gel spots on some of toes from my last pedi. I would not go here again. They rush you through and try to service as many people as possible when they don't have the staff which leaves you not getting the full services that should come with mani / pedis. read more

There's only the owner and the filipina lady, doing nails and pedi. Expect to be there long. Very kind and sweet. Had to come in for a much needed pedi. Wished there was more help so they could pay more attention on the things they're doing. Felt rushed. But overall, good stuff for a small town and only two working. read more

I love this place! Although I walked in without an appointment, they seated me immediately and began working. The pedicure was very relaxing, and every bit as good as the pedicures I have received here in my home city of Portland. Probably better, honestly. The price was comparable and very reasonable, with many options to choose from. Their cleanliness is impeccable! But what really impressed me were the two women working there. Each was extremely attentive and friendly and they shared much about their interesting backgrounds. One thing that annoys me about many of the nail salons in Portland, is when the staff talk amongst themselves, in a language other than English, often times obviously talking about the customers. There was absolutely none of that at Mai Nails, so I was completely comfortable and at home. I will definitely go back the next time I am in their area! read more
