Hands down the worst packaging attempt I have ever seen. They ruined a 1930's brewery piece made of…read moreplaster by going 3 times around it with small bubble wrap before dumping it in a box of peanut packaging. It didn't matter that it was double boxed, since the wrap was so tight that it placed tension on the extended arm of the piece. The piece arrived with the arm busted off and shards of plaster in the wrap. They had the audacity to blame UPS since they transported it, but the piece was doomed from the start. I was charged $120 by Pak Mail for materials and $18 in labor.to pack it. The packaging materials would run you under $20 retail, so how about that for a profit on materials? The "labor" expertise mirrored that of a 10-year-old (no offense to any10 year olds out there. When it was all said and done, they sent me a check for $40 out of the kindness of their heart after I demanded to be compensated for their packaging negligence. This is just one of many reviews I'll be posting about them. I'll also share the experience with the Selkirk Auction House the "highly recommended" them. Keep in mind that Pak Mail is a franchise operation, so your experience at other locations may not be the same as mine.

Unfortunately, the shipment never showed up in the USPS system, and I ended up losing the cost of the product. The owner was responsive when I reached out, which I appreciated, but there wasn't any help for the financial loss. Overall, the shop seems helpful, but their process doesn't include giving receipts unless you ask--so make sure you do. Sharing this so others don't run into the same issue. A quick receipt can save a lot of stress later!

I just spoke with Shannon, who is the supervisor, about a missing "delayed" package that was sent to me for Easter. It was shipped out of their location, yet, no scans are officially listed as leaving their facility. She went from saying that the first scan shown, besides when it was accepted on the 12th, was on the 14th "to next facility". Then, when I continued to ask why Wood River was not shown or scanned, backtracked and said that it was scanned and shipped out to St. Louis on the 12th, yet there was no scan in St. Louis. She wouldn't answer my questions, and instead gave me the runaround... unable to answer which facilities the packages were scanned into on the 14th and 15th. The package was not heard of again until the 24th in Memphis. She could not explain anything and just kept saying that there is a whole system and things are all sent out in one big bunch. Cool... but how did my package suddenly go from Wood River to St. Louis with no scans or tracking actually showing? Where is the accountability that the package was wrongfully handled between Wood River and St. Louis? All I could get was that she is "guessing that it was scanned in St. Louis"... WHAT??? Finally, she said that she was leaving a message for the Post Master to call me back. This is not the first time that I have had a problem with their office. I have had mail go missing quite a bit from there. When I asked her to please look into how they operate and handle their mail, she blamed the other locations and the "entire process". She also would not help in refunding my mother's money. If an accident happened, apologize and own it. Work on fixing it. The biggest sign of weak leadership is denying any responsibility and refusing to fix it. Offer solutions, not excuses. Shannon needs to go based on her inability to apologize and problem solve. The rest of the staff needs to be looked into. Seriously... bummer summer. You are an executive branch of the United States Federal Government. Do better.
