Attended a 2 day session at our local community college. It was pretty informative - I would…read morerecommend this if you are interested. l the Financial Advisor seemed knowledgeable. Afterwards I set an appointment with the Financial Advisor to review my retirement plan and hear his recommendation. This was a free option included with the session. Problems I encountered including the Financial Advisor just couldn't get anything right! I shared my financial information very clearly in a spreadsheet with copies of documents. Also provided my & my spouse's age, work status, planned retirement and more. The Financial Advisor never provided a complete and correct presentation because it had so many errors. TWICE!! He was supposed to correct the information and email it to me but that never happened either. I decided with that many ERRORS to go in a different direction and requested the documents I provided be available for pickup. I was told by the Customer Rep / Appointment Setter that my information was at a different location and would have to be transferred to my local office. oookay. And they were supposed to notify me when it was available - didn't happen. Called back AGAIN and finally the docs were available for pickup. Was told their office hours are until 5 pm M-F and I showed up during that time (on a Friday) but they were CLOSED!!! WTH?!?!? Called their main number and someone agreed to show up and get my info. They did while I waited for almost half hour in the parking lot. Of course, they had a great excuse - it was a nice day and they decided to leave early. I know I made the right decision because if they make this many mistakes when trying to sell themselves to a new client just imagine once they have control of your funds how poorly you might be treated. DON'T RECOMMEND FOGUTH FINANCIAL.
