I noticed some comments about not helping load large items. As a mall owner myself, I understand that many employees are not able to lift heavy items and buyers should understand this. It is also a liability for small businesses to help load large furniture items. If the item gets damaged or a vehicle gets damaged during loading, the customer often tries to place blame on mall as opposed to accepting responsibly. We highly recommend this mall. We drive over 4 hours several times a year to visit here.

I said it was an inconvenience because I live 14 miles away so it was a 28 mile round-trip for me to come and get it if it was there. No apology on his part. End of conversation. The next morning he called me and said the vase was there. I said I would come and get it. When I got there and he was putting the vase in the bag, he said "they tried to run after you, but they couldn't catch you." That was it. Still no apology, so: Me: No apology? Him: 14 miles is not far. (This is how I knew he was the same person I talked to last night). Me: It's a 28 miles round-trip plus the time, gas, and the inconvenience. Him: Do you want the vase or not? What a terrible way to treat a 30 year customer, or anyone for that matter. A simple apology for the error would have been the correct way to handle the situation. Needless to say, I'm done with Coachman Antique Mall.

I also found a beautiful teacup and saucer with floral details that was made in France. The owner of the shop carefully packaged my finds as she kept offering me something to drink and candy for my niece and nephew who were with us. There are three buildings, the first one we started in was the antique store. So lots of trinkets, decor, kitchenware, furniture, purses, photos, and two very friendly cats. After going through and finding a lot of good stuff, we went to the building that had all the vintage clothing. All of the clothing is women's and everything was organised by type of clothes: coats, dresses, long dresses, pants, tops, hats, shoes, business suits (the matching blazers and skirt type thing) even really cool hangers and hat boxes. Plus, the pieces were well cared for. There is a dressing room to try things on and good mirrors, and it was so much fun to look through everything. A highlight was the coat section. There were so many beautiful ones. And any questions about anything could be answered!! The third building we didn't have time to go through but at a quick glance, it was bigger furniture, very beautiful and maintained pieces, and I could see it all in my dream home. I loved this place so much, everything was very reasonably priced and I got lots of clothes and antique pieces and it was very much worth it. That said the original Featherbone employeed the majority of my family from the 1920's onward - in fact many of them can be found in a large panaramic photo when you walk into the facility. Celebrating the past is a positive way to remember it and in many ways the Featherbone manages this well. It's a nice place with interesting and very articulate reproductions - many in cast iron. The serivce there is very friendly and I would say if we had a summer place in the county, Featherbone would be our first stop!
