For a little ice cream stop around town, it was no frills but got the job done. There are sundaes and waffle cones and toppings galore, but I just wanted a scoop of ice cream which was promptly delivered from the order window form the vestibule booth with some bench seating available on the sidewalk. I just want to know how the girl who took our order can be so dumb. We ordered a raspberry truffle ice cream NACHOS, we never got the nachos only the ice cream. Then we told her she did nothing to fix it and all we got was "I didn't hear you about the nachos" and proceeded to greet the next customer. What a joke this place is. Stop hiring these stupid kids. I received the incorrect ice cream - peanut butter chip not peanut butter cup - although having shared I wanted the chocolate one. A young dark haired server refused to give us the correct one. My daughter cried with disappointment and there was no empathy. I proceeded to ask for a sample before purchasing the ice cream again to avoid any mistakes and she responded that they don't do samples. Really?! Her coldness was so stoic that we opted to leave. Shortly after, the 2 scoops fell right off the cone; looks like she didn't know how to scoop ice cream as well. read more

First time here and it was awesome! How could you not love a place where baseball was born? And to top it all off they have great ice cream too! Perfect on a hot summer day like today. I ended up getting a large cookie dough cone. But they also have Root Beer floats,milkshakes and malts as well. They also have Great customer service to top it all off. This place has recently been hit or miss. I'm a local, so I have been here a handful of times. I usually am greeted with excellent customer service (very very nice girls who work in there, maybe three different ones I can remember) and great delicious ice cream. However, my last visit has left me compelled to write a review. There was a very rude blonde girl working, who didn't speak one word to me until she got my simple order wrong and when I asked for what I ordered, she argued with me and wouldn't give me a new one. Very snooty and incredibly rude. I always love going to this place, but after this incident I'm not sure if I will be returning. read more

Every summer we visit Cooperstown & this is our favorite Ice cream shop in town!! 1$ Italian ice?! You can't beat that price in such a tourist dependent town!! They have the cheapest prices of all the other shops. I personally (and have heard others agree) think they have the best ice cream in town as well!! We are always greeted with a smile, and a "how are you doing today." Wonderful customer service, and I even recognized the same few girls over the years! Definitely a must-stop-in ice cream shop! Just saw a very rude teenage staff bruskly and gruffly make some customers get up from their outside table. We were standing right next to them. They were still eating their ice cream very peacefully. Never saw anything so ridiculous in my life. The staff said there were a lot of people waiting for the table. Meanwhile, there was no one there!!! Is their ice cream THAT good?!? I highly doubt it. Maybe the owner should be more careful when hiring, as this person should not be dealing with the public. Unprovoked and unfair! I would never eat at this place!! read more
