Very friendly staff. Older building, but clean and comfortable. It may not be a five star hotel, but it is still worth a 5 star review.

I try not to write a review of any business that I am currently doing business with. It seems a bit strange and possibly could be seen as manipulative. So this review had to wait until I could know I wasn't going back very soon. I stayed here for roughly about 3 months straight. It's a nice little family owned motel. It's definitely not the weekly motel vibe that you might get on 4th street in Reno. But a "small town" motel vibe that you might have gotten back in the heyday of motels in new interstates before freeways. There is nothing fancy about Main Street Inn, but if you are in Yerington for more than a potty break, you probably should already understand that there is nothing really fancy about Yerington. This is a town of friendly real people. Not fake city people that plaster on that smile because of some creepy corporate guideline. The town is probably the most welcoming town in all of rural Nevada for me. The office is populated by a bunch of locals filling in the hours. So there may be small spot of time you wont have anyone at the front desk. This is really a mom and pop business. The room I was in for most of my time in town was just right for my needs. Each room has it's own character it seems. Mine had lots of drawers to keep stuff in as well. All of the staff, including the owner was always pleasant and as helpful as possible when I interacted with them. If I could get this good of service at the high end hotels I stay at on vacation, I might never come home! The only real negatives that I can think of are that they don't have great parking for larger vehicles. So that might be a consideration if you have a large vehicle it could be a tiny walk from where you have to park your car. All of the businesses are within walking distance of the Inn as well. I normally would not give such a high rating to a basic small-town hotel, but the extra touches definitely bump it up to 5-star status. So let me get the ONLY negative out of the way first - the rooms feel a bit institutional with bare white walls and dated heavy oak furniture. All of the other really good things about this property, the management and the staff completely out-weigh this one VERY minor first impression. The #1 positive, and really the most important thing to me in a hotel room, is the cleanliness. The owners and managers have put a lot of work into what was a rather run-down property. Not a spot of dirt, dust, grime or stain was to be seen anywhere. The room, while a bit spartan, was very comfortable. I felt pampered by the king-sized bed with satiny soft sheets that absolutely glowed and real grown-up sized pillows of various firmness. There was a big chair for reading and relaxing, and a small desk for computer work. by the large, thick, snowy-soft white towels in the tiny but efficient bathroom. It is always the little touches that make a place stand out. The basket of fresh fruit, bottled water and snacks, greet you upon arrival in your room. This is complimentary. There are good quality linens and towels (the towels deserve a review of their own - thick, full sized and soft) and a generous choice of breakfast items with real coffee and real ceramic mugs in the hospitality suite. And last, but not least, the amenities. Even though the property is old, there were sufficient accessible outlets for my electronics. There were drawers galore, real hangers in the wardrobe, an HVAC system that actually functioned quietly, a small refrigerator and microwave, and good WiFi - enough anyway for watching Netflix and catching up on emails. Yes, this is THE place to stay in Yerington. Nothing fancy, but the the service, comfort, cleanliness and attention to details make it a definite standout. read more

The price was right and the accommodations were great! I came in after 10 pm and Rigo stayed up late for my arrival!! Thank you. He also turned on the heater in my room so when I came in, it was cozy and perfect for me to go to sleep. 2 things I don't like: 1. You can see through the curtains. 2. Brown towels. I want to feel like my towels are able to be bleached. However, the towels ARE really soft!! read more

Front Desk lady was very nice. Room was a bargain. Showers were hot. Beds were comfy. Facility might look unsafe but had no issues whatsoever. Advice is bring a eye mask to blockout the lights from outside the curtain if you are a light sleeper also ear plugs as the bars across the street can get busy. Grab grocery snack supplies at Rally's the refrigerator in room is a great size. read more

This past weekend, 08/14-16/2015, I had the opportunity to visit my home town, Yerington Nevada. I stayed at a local, family owned hotel called the Main Street Inn. My experience from start to finish has bee exceptionally positive. The staff at the hotel have been awesome from the very first phone call (with Nancy Waldais), two follow-up phone calls, check-in, contacts with employees on site and finally, today, with the owner Cindy Snyder. When I checked into my room I found a "goodie" basket filled with bottle water, fresh fruit, snacks and some little goodies with a "welcome" note to the Yerington High School Reunion Alumni. There were balloons and Yerington Lion "paw prints" on the outside of my room as well as the other reunion attendees rooms, noting the graduation year for each of the occupants. The room was spacious, cozy with comfortable sitting area chairs, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc. There were many more amenities than some of the big name casinos in Tahoe and Reno. The bed and pillows were awesome, just like being at home, so comfortable. I will return in the near future and definitely plan to stay at this local, family owned hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel! Stayed here for a weekend in July and couldn't even tell because the room stayed so cool. The room was small, but it was clean. Small hotel.. Older but wonderful remodeling!! Clean and comfy beds, big bathrooms, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster in rooms.. Great little welcoming baskets in the room with treats adds a personal touch. Friendly welcoming staff. Wish the WIFI was stronger but still was a great stay. Stayed at the Main Street Inn early August 2018 during my daughter's wedding nearby and the place was impeccably clean, comfy beds, great a/c. well appointed rooms with fridge, microwave, fruit basket, coffee maker and selection of teas and coffee. As if that were not enough, they also have a breakfast hospitality suite with breakfast burritos in the freezer, a toaster and bread, jam and dairy and nut butters. The owner and the staff truly went out of their way to insure our comfort, were great at pointing out places of interest nearby and making sure we had good maps when going off cell service areas in that beautiful desert. Truly a gem of a hotel, if I am ever in the area again, I WILL be staying there for sure, and I can highly recommend this lovely place to anyone traveling to Yerington. They do a great job, you will be happy you chose to stay there. read more

Main Street Inn (formerly the Victorian Rose Inn) is an older property, but has been well cared for. The new owners are in the process of painting the rooms and buildings, refreshing the rooms and changing the room décor to a cleaner look. My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice before. This visit we stayed for 5 nights over the July 4th weekend, along with another couple we were traveling with, during a geocaching trip. There was a complimentary basket in each room with fresh fruit, granola bars, trail mix, chocolates and bottled water. We weren't expecting any breakfast, so we were pleased that the owners offer serve-yourself breakfast starting at 4:30am -- coffee, pastries, cereal, juice, tea, fresh fruit and frozen breakfast burritos/sandwiches you can microwave. We headed out early each day, so having coffee and breakfast available so early was really convenient for us. Both rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a microwave, small coffee maker and a small refrigerator with freezer in each room. Wi-fi is included and worked well. Cindy was very friendly and helpful, offered a few restaurant suggestions, and we enjoyed talking to her about the area and local upcoming events. This inn is a good value. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Yerington. read more

I am in a full-time touring bluegrass band and we stay in our fair share of hotels and motels and I seldom take time to yelp a place that we stayed at, but I just had to let the people out there now how kind and friendly the staff was during our stay. Top-notch service with a smile! Our rooms were clean, smelled great, and had very comfortable beds. Everything worked like it should (tv, fridge, microwave, etc) and believe me that's not always the case at the places we stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a good nights sleep. read more

We spent three nights at the MainStreet Inn when we were in town for geocaching. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we were barely aware of the windy weather. Beds and pillows were high quality and the room had a recliner, computer desk, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The complimentary breakfast was quite good. I will stay here again. read more
