Needed a overnight spot between CA and ID and we choose here, and it was a great decision. Decently priced ($130 for a double queen), friendly staff, and included breakfast. Room was pretty big for a 'budget hotel' and the breakfast had so many options! We also loved all the Christmas decorations - really made it welcoming. Only minor con - if you're over 6 ft tall, the toilets will be reaally low haha, but likely won't affect most folks. read more

About one step above Motel 6. Toilet needs a new flapper. Breakfast is below continental. Rooms are pretty old. Price seems rather high for what it is. Some Best Western hotels are great. Some, like the one we stayed in in San Diego a while back, are downright slummy. No more Best Western for me. The quality is too inconsistent and unpredictable. read more

HORRIBLE; WORST hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE, FILTHY. Got to first room (moved and still bad) The bathtub had been painted with white paint (who does that). All the paint in bathtub was peeling off in HUGE pieces. Was filthy looking. Walls had peeling paint, see attached photos to verify this. Went down and asked to be moved. Next room had a huge amount of previous guest's hair on floor next to bathtub. GROSS beyond belief. It was super late so decided to sleep and deal with it. Turned on heat and smoke alarm went off very loud. Had to open door to make it stop. Did go down in the morning and complain how disgusting it was. Manager comped the room at least. Both rooms were HORRIBLE! Trust my photos. Not sure how this can even be rated high. Friends perhaps? Shouldn't be a Best Western. Absolutely horrible, dirty, old motel. Don't do it. GOOD: Angela at front desk is so friendly and wonderful. My long drives to Fallon always feel better after I am greeted by the wonderful staff at the front desk. The rooms are immaculate and everything works. The breakfast has plenty to eat and the ladies who manage it are great. This is the reason for stopping at Fallon when there are other cities along the way that could get my business. read more

Pit stop for us driving back home. Stopped in the front office with friendly staff and some pretty amazing homemade cream cheese chocolate chip cookies made by a sweet lady Lynda who staffs the breakfast. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfy. Property is clean and secure. Has the essentials and early breakfast is a bonus. Wii be staying here again for our next college road trip. 4 stars for location. Everything else, it's pretty average. Covid neccesary trip, needed an overnight stay in Fallon. Best Western is located in close proximity to other well known chains. Down side, reception at front desk was underwhelming. You'd think that under the Covid times, that they would be greeting you warmly...... No dice here. Felt like I was from the leper colony. Room we were assigned to was in the hottest corner of this motel. It's over 95° here now outside at 930pm and we are on the second floor. My husband almost burned his hand opening up the lever to the room 3 hours ago when it was hotter. Why put us here when there's plenty of rooms downstairs....in the shade. I'm having to listen to the very loud AC now all night long. And btw.... We had to sign a no smoking waiver. This room smells like cigar smoke from the past. read more

Room above average clean. Plenty of towels, not great shampoo. Bed comfy. Constant noise from room above - they're not noisy kids, just ordinary walking. I'm on the ground floor - so perhaps book on an upper floor Grab n Go breakfast options were all loaded with sugar. Had to pass. read more

Driving between Park City, Utah and home (San Francisco Bay Area), we stayed at Best Western Fallon for the night. Staff here is very very nice. Check in was very good. They do express check-out. The room had a very comfortable king size bed, refrigerator, microwave, TV, couch, desk area, dresser. The bathroom is on the smaller size but fine for a one night stay. The breakfast in morning was good. The breakfast lady staff is so nice. She is super wonderful. Parking is free and even mid week, many were staying there. The one thing I am still not sure of is we were on the 1st floor, From about 11:30 to 1:30 there seemed to be a wrestling match going on in that room. but other than that great stay. read more

Friendly staff and comfortable room with a complimentary breakfast. It was nice for us to be able to stop and stay during a snow blizzard.

Summary: Stayed here twice recently. Clean old room but noisy. Bring your ear plugs to mitigate the risk of a sleepless night. Would not recommend if you want to sleep or just watch TV before 10pm. Details: At my most recent stay yesterday I had to check out only hours after checking in because a neighbor insisted on playing their portable stereo with an impressive sub-woofer. I own one. They are awesome, but using one in a hotel is like bringing a jet ski to a hot tub party. I turned up my TV but even at high levels it failed to offset the wall thumping bass. Thought of running out and buying ear plugs, and that might have allowed me to sleep, but it would also prevent me from enjoying listening to my TV, computer, or phone. Called office twice. Staff asked neighbor to 'turn it down' but didn't follow up to ensure the resulting sound level was reasonable. And it wasn't. Not wanting to risk a sleepless night I decided I had to find a different hotel. I stopped by the office to drop off keys and was told that staff couldn't do anything about unreasonable noise before 10pm. There was an apology that felt more like a 'not my problem'. No attempt to ask that the personal stereo (or sub woofer) be turned off. No offer to relocate me or the noisy neighbor (or explanation as to why they couldn't). No assurance that the problem would cease after 10pm. Clearly, the risk was on me. As I drove from they property I wondered how staff would react if someone ceaselessly knocked on their office door or windows till 10pm? I have little doubt they'd have demanded it stop and eventually called the police if it didn't. In my recent experiences, BW properties seem quite tired but are clean. You expect to pay a little less than the newer and even cleaner competition. IMO, its the quality of the Staff that makes this value proposition work. I'm willing to risk a budget hotel if I know that Staff cares. BW Fallon was tested and its staff failed to demonstrate they care. Rather than risk inconveniencing a disruptive customer they chose to avoid confrontation and inconvenience another... which makes no sense. I can only assume the neighbor was a long time resident or personal friend. No more Best Western for me... read more

My husband and I just stayed here. Very nice and attentive folks running the place. Clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious and I like that all the rooms are on one floor making it easy to park right in front of your own room to unload. You'll get your vitals checked when walking into the office. We stayed in room 124, if they hand you a key to this room hand it right back to them if it's winter time. The heat works, but is extremely loud and runs in 30 second bursts. The beds are normally comfortable here, but not in room 124. Seriously, hand it back and move on. We slept about an hour all together with all this nonsense. read more

Exactly what you would expect from this hotel chain-- Clean and comfortable room, convenient location, mid range price. Minimal road noise. The breakfast buffet is the same at every location I have ever stayed, however the lady working there in the mornings is outstanding and keeps it very tidy. What a great value!! We did a 2-night stay on June 11-13 (2021) in a two-queen room. The room was pretty spacious and perfectly clean. The air con was icy cold (wonderful). There's a microwave and mini-fridge with a big freezer compartment. Fast (free) internet and good cable TV channels. We were pleasantly surprised! They provide a nice grab-and-go breakfast with a choice between the hot or cold option; we had 2 adults so we picked one of each (but the hot option with the oatmeal is better). The hotel is pet friendly, so we brought our cat and our service dog. We called ahead to notify the front desk about the service dog and the house cat. Without us asking, the hotel waived the normal pet fee for the cat because we had a service dog anyway. Honestly, we do not understand the bad reviews. This hotel has everything we needed (1) a clean room, (2) good AC, (3) key appliances (fridge/microwave/coffee), (4) comfy beds, and (5) friendly staff. Can't beat it for the price. Stopped at this Best Western during a cross country road trip and it may just be the *best* Best Western I've ever stayed at. The front desk staff was super friendly, despite our rugged road trip appearance. They had delicious fresh baked cookies on the desk, as well as lemonade and coffee 24/7. Their local restaurant guide was very handy in helping us find some great pizza to fill our cravings. And, the continental breakfast had a good variety of food (waffles, eggs, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, fruit & toppings, bagels, granola bars, fruit cups, and various sweet rolls). The woman tending the breakfast was incredibly sweet and kept encouraging everyone to eat as much as they liked. All staff we encountered throughout our stay were just super friendly. Rooms were comfy & clean and equipped with a microwave & fridge in ours, as well. read more

I noticed the next day I had left my Drivers License in the other room and they put it in the mail and I received it 2 days later! Great service and very willing to make us comfortable! I have stayed here a dozen times and will not again. We pulled in and got a room only to find there was no parking because they had several shipping containers in the parking lot. I asked the attendant where we were supposed to park and she said there is a dirt lot (no Lighting) behind the motel. Why they couldn't park their shipping containers there is beyond me. Evidentially they do not care about customer care. If they are doing remodeling, they should park the containers out there. read more

Chose this place to stay on our way back home from Idaho because the reviews made it seem Covid safe. Not the case. No mask enforcing whatsoever. To their credit they have a sign saying that masks are required but it's not being enforced in the slightest. Makes you wonder about the safety of the whole operation. Loved this Best Western. Akul was just awesome, he worked with me allowing me a generous late check out since my husband had to stay later then expected at work. He also tried to help us with new reservations 2 weeks in a row, unfortunately since this is one of the best hotels to stay in Fallon and we needed several rooms, we were not able to stay there, but he definitely tried to help and I appreciated! Some people have complained about the breakfast at this hotel but trust me, some of the other hotels are horrid; they give you a brown bag with a disgusting burrito or what they call a breakfast sandwich that is not fit for human consumption. Their excuse is Covid for not providing a decent breakfast and this menu does not change. :( Best Western is the best hotel we have found in Fallon and we have been coming here for 9 weeks in a row. The Staff is super nice and helpful. Hope you take my advice. read more

Comfortable, clean and quiet makes for a great Christmas Eve stay. Check in with Wyatt was swift and professional. The room was large #232 (2 Queens and a separate tv room with a couch). We appreciated having snacks and bottled water available in the lounge after hours. Breakfast the next morning was great. The waffles and coffee were just what we needed to prepare us for the road. Maria, was a delight to visit with at the breakfast lounge and she was an ambassador of goodwill for the Best Western franchise. Thanks to everyone for a great stay! We were on a road trip across America's Loneliest Road when we got a flat tire way out in Cold Springs Station, sixty miles east of Fallon. We had to be towed back to Fallon (sure glad we've got a AAA card!). We called the Best Western and they were very helpful, gave us a great room at a good price. Room was clean and all was good. We checked out the next morning with the tire repaired at the local Walmart (only place open on Labor Day). When we got to Great Basin National Park, I discovered that I had left my expensive iPhone charging cable and plug in the room. We called the hotel and spoke with Kirby. She said that housekeeping had turned in the cable and plug. She offered to mail it to us back home in Morro Bay. It took a while, but we got it back in the mail. This is the kind of honesty and service that you would hope every business would provide to loyal customers (we are Best Western platinum members) We can highly recommend this hotel. It is clean and well-run with nice beds and very helpful and courteous staff. read more

Stayed here Saturday 8/1/2020 and was very happy. Long day on the road and the bed did not disappoint. Everything is completely modern now from the pictures shown on here. We had the jacuzzi room. Great little entertainment center with a cold clean fridge and microwave. There was an additional shower/tub combo in bathroom. The only thing that would've topped it off would be a better breakfast selection, but, in light of the Covid I understand all precautions so I can look pass that. I'm sorry to leave such a negative review but I do so in the hopes of preventing others from the same peril. We made the reservation by phone on the BW phone line only to find that upon arrival we did not have reservations. Our credit card was charged for reservations in Phoenix not Fallon. The front desk young lady was condescending, unwilling to help and flat out did not want to accommodate us in any way. Her commends were accusing and very sharp. We should have left but after 8 hours of driving we just wanted to rest so we pressed her for a room. The room floor was filthy, the room smelled bad and the sheets should have been thrown out years ago. I'm not picky when I'm tired but when you can't breathe and are afraid to walk on the floor something is very wrong. We've had good luck with Best Westerners before but I really think they should drop this property from their holdings. Pretty seedy. read more

Fantastic stay! Clean, good breakfast, room was nice and spacious, we had a suite. Everything was up to our standards with the exception that they initially said we didn't have a reservation. This made check in a bit of a headache and because of the length of time that took I took off a star. I showed my email confirmations and showed the room we wanted. There was an issue because our original room which was for our family of six wasn't avail either. The room we got sufficed and overall a good experience. Would return. Staff great as well. read more

We have children in Football and Cheer. We live in Sparks and had to be in Fallon at the High School for. Game by 7am on a Saturday morning. So we decided instead of getting kids up at 4 am, we would get a room in Fallon and go the night before. Excellent choice on our part. We made the reservations online...very easy to do. The hotel was quick to get us checked in. We got a room with two queen beds. It was a very good sized room. Microwave, fridge, table with a couple of chairs. We had two adults and three kids with more than enough room. The room was clean and decor was very decent. We paid $80 for a Friday night. Not bad. The free breakfast was awesome! Especially with kids! Pool was packed but seemed clean and on a less crowded day would have been cool. Good deal for us. We didn't have to get up and drive at 4 with three cranky kids! We started our 2 week road trip with a breakdown and Kirby cancelled our room when we couldn't make it, then found space for a family of six the next night when we could finally get there. She is helpful, friendly and a huuuuuge asset to the company. The hotel is fine too, but without Kirby it's merely ordinary. High recommend on the service. read more
