I stayed at the Yerington Inn for a week, it was a clean, simple room. Everything worked fine, but nothing went above basic. Beds weren't bad, but they were different. I don't know if one was higher or something, but one of them did seems smaller. My biggest complaint was the seating. If you get a two twins room, all you get is a small, unlit desk and a single, basic, hard chair. I would have liked an arm chair or anything else that would make the room more comfortable to be in for longer than just to sleep. The WiFi was a bit of an odd one as well, they only allow two devices per room, which seems odd in 2019, especially in a room that is meant for 1-4 people. But, this is the best option in Yerington, and If I need to go back out there for work, I'll stay again. read more

Could have had the room that was reserved for one of my team members that drove 4 and a half hours with their confirmation number in hand available instead of telling them oops, we switched computer systems and don't have a room for you. They had to drive back to Topaz, get a room and then drive all the way back to Yerrington the next morning. No other hotels had rooms due to a race weekend. Terrible, horrible service. read more

I have been staying at this hotel regularly since 2017- my parents live in yerington. This hotel has always been a great place with competitive pricing, friendly staff and clean rooms. Since they were taken over by Best Western Surestay things have gone down hill. I made a reservation for May 3-5. When making this reservatio, the hotel was made aware that we needed a ground floor room as my daughter cannot walk up stairs (this hotel does not have an elevator). I was told since there is a lot of elderly people checking in that day, the hotel couldn't guarantee a ground floor. I got the impression that the ADA people don't matter by the management. When the hotel called to confirm my reservation I was made aware the reservation was for only 1 night, not 2 as originally reserved. I will see how the check-in process goes, the quality of the hotel and wither or not I will be staying here agin after this weekend. My interactions with the staff so far has a bad taste for me. Disgusting! We stayed at this hotel during the holidays between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and to say that the rooms were horrible is an understatement. The floors weren't clean when we arrived. The next day they weren't vacuumed or swept. The blinds in the front window were broken/cut, allowing anyone to look into the room. Coffee maker was not cleaned prior to our arrival. A used pod was still in the coffee maker. Attention to detail does not exist at this hotel. We will not stay there again. read more

For the overall review, I'd give 3 stars for the overall room and accommodations. However, I'd give 5 stars for the incredibly good service, in particular that given by Arla. The overall room and accommodations get 3 stars because the room I was in had a slightly worn mattress and the couch was also slightly worn down. Additionally, I had some difficulty getting the tv to work, until I figured out the HDMI cable was plugged into the wrong port. As for the 5-star customer service given by Arla, she corrected an oversight with a reservation attempt by getting me the two rooms originally requested. Then, when there was a problem with one of the rooms already having been occupied, she went into overdrive with customer service by getting a similar room ready. Arla was handed a double whammy and she handled it like a pro. That kind of customer service earns return visits, which is a certainty in the future. read more

We stayed at the Yerington Inn during a long weekend geocaching in the area. We arrived around 10:30pm on a Thursday night. They town was shut down and we were hoping that the hotel office would still be open. IT WAS. I entered the office and the office lady stood up and said "You must be Eric" "Ive been expecting you" I told her I was Eric, she had me sign a paper and handed me the key to our room. That was probably the easiest check in ive ever done. Our room was located up stairs. Once we made it to our room, I opened up the door to have small but cozy room. Inside there was a little desk and small table with two chairs, two queen sized bed, a microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot. The carpet floor was clean and looked somewhat new. The bathroom counter top was clean and no smudges on the mirror. The shower was a nice size but the water pressure could have been a little stonger and the toilet was clean. Since we had been driving all day, I went to bed. I figured that the bed would have been hard like most hotel beds, but it was pretty comfy. I slept like a log. We got up and got ready for the day. As we were leaving, we were meeted by one of the house keepers. She asked how our night was and how we slept. Then were were off for the day. We returned late that night, our room was spotless and there were new towels, all new toiletrys and of course or bed was made. We crashed hard, woke up and checked out. Check out was a breeze. We were on our way home shortly after. I would highly recomend staying at the Yerington Inn. I know that I will next year when we were for another geocaching trip. read more

Went in the lobby yesterday hoping for the best,waited for desk guy to finish yapping about the smoke and fires to a person in lobby. That conversation ended and I siad I'd like a room for one. He directed me to the lady at other desk,which I did and he wouldn't let her deal with me,as when I said the price was okay but was curious if they had a military rate,as I'm retired Navy. He offered a whallaping one dollar off,then it really went downhill. I asked if they were okay with service animals. What do you need it for? I said emotional support,giving a simple response. We don't allow that here,he said,then i gave the official answer,PTSD. That passed muster,but then he said they charge a 45$ fee I quickly uttered some choice words and quickly exited and left town for the Silverland in Virginia Citr,always pleasant and accommodating. A friend and I wound up here for one evening last summer after his truck broke down in the middle of the desert on the way to Reno. The Yerington Inn was kind enough to give us a slight discount through AAA, as his truck had to be towed, although I still found the price to be on the expensive side - around $79 before taxes on a weeknight. However, when you're out in the middle of nowhere and motels basically don't exist, I guess they can get away with it. It appeared that the property had been recently renovated, and highly resembled an Econo Lodge. New flat panel TVs and modern furnishings. No issues with cleanliness or ants as another review indicated. The whole town of Yerington is definitely a unique experience - it's like stepping back in time. I'd stay here again if I was stuck in the area, but wouldn't necessarily plan another trip here. The casinos across the street (Dini's Lucky Club and Casino West) are definitely worth checking out. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was due to the price of my stay. read more

The Yerington Inn rooms have been recently remodeled so everything is clean and new. From here, you can walk to the two best casinos in town. The rooms are very large, we actually got a 2 room affair with a nice sitting area. Flat screen TV, no complaints! Good water pressure and a helpful cheerful staff. The Yerington Inn was so discourteous and non-hospitable from the beginning. We had a very large block of rooms designated for a wedding. The management had been notified that the bride's room would be occupied until up to 4:00 p.m. that day. They had informed the bride that she was able to stay later and told her that paperwork would be passed on to whoever was working the day of the wedding. At around noon the day of the wedding, the bride was informed she needed to leave her room or pay an extra charge. My son went into the office to talk to the clerk. It took much explanation and patience to try to explain a situation that most people would have understood right away. For goodness sakes, this sweet lady was getting married that day. How hard is that to understand? Furthermore, the inn was not busy except for the business we had bought there. Our younger grandchildren were treated rudely and asked to find their own towels. They had to go ask the maid for more towels. They were also told to stop softly singing at around 8:00 p.m. on a Friday night because people might be sleeping. They are sweet young girls and weren't causing any issues at all. We were treated like we were rock and roll room trashers but we all were courteous and upstanding individuals just trying to enjoy a beautiful wedding. There were many more incidences that were so ridiculous and so involved that it would be difficult to explain them all on this page. Just don't go to this establishment. If you do, you will be sorely disappointed. read more

NOT worth the $80+ per night they charged. We could easily hear through the walls, no seating except for the hard desk chair and they didn't take out the trash in the room (I sat for three days). When went to the front desk to ask about a chair (like seen in all their pictures), the guy told us we hadn't paid for the room with the king size bed so no chair was available. They will charge well over 2k per month if you work at the mines, and will not help you out if something happens when you need to go home early. This place is ok. There was a weird smell when I turned the AC on. When I walked into the bathroom I stepped on something green and sticky(GROSS!). Put the toilet seat down and there was what looked like dried pee(GROSS!!!!!). When I sat on the toilet I realized that it was completely lopsided. Got to the bed, pulled the sheets back and there was hair that definitely was not mine. The lock on the door did not work. Besides all of the negatives I've experienced, it was a good size motel. What a relief to find a nice hotel after the prospects we had an hour away in Hawthorne. I was so pleasantly surprised since the current photos weren't great. There's an expressing " She's as helpful as a doorknob " , today I finally experienced it, and oh my God it is a whole new level of unhelpful! We booked a room at this this inn a year in advance because we really wanted to make sure that we'll have a room to stay during the Night in the Country. We arrived at the check in desk and this lady at the check in desk told us she doesn't see our booking information, we showed her our confirmation email and everything, she said she still won't be able to help us. What really bugs me is her attitude, a whole new level of " Its not my business, I ain't willing to help. I don't even care" she was even a little dismissive. After all the talking we concluded that she doesn't care, she is not willing to work anything out for us, so we left without a room to stay in that town, we had to drive all the way to Reno. Anyway, my point is everyone makes mistake, and I get it, but at least have the decency to pretend that you care about your customers. My room was clean and spacious. It was more like a suite than a room. The bed was comfy, sheets were bright white, and I did not wake up in a hole like you do when the mattress is cheap. OK. Now I don't normally write reviews, good or bad, but for this place I REALLY MUST! This motel is the pits! Let me explain. My family and I recently stayed here April 8th thru 12th 2013, to see my aunt who lives in Yerington. The first thing that we notice is the one inch gap under the door letting light and noise in, not to mention the heating cost because it was cold out and we had to keep the heater turned up. (Thank God the heater worked at all!) The website mentions newly remodeled rooms and free Wi-Fi. First lets tackle the remodel. When we stayed here 2 years ago we had a better room than these 'newly remodeled' ones! I think all they did was change some furniture and repaint. There was stains in the carpet, the bathroom fixtures looked like they were installed in the seventies(really not exaggerating, I have pictures), the shower curtain was dirty on the inside, the grout in the tile floor had chunks of pieces missing, the repaint job looked like they pulled some bum off the streets, gave him a paint brush and let him loose. Now lets get to the REALLY bad stuff! When my husband decided to take a shower, after our 11 hour long trip getting here, he came out telling me of the horror story that the drain does not drain properly! He got in and realized that water was filling up and gross stuff was floating in the tub with him! We also couldn't get the water to adjust in the shower. It was either too hot or too cold and it kept vacillating between the two.The next day, I walk into the bathroom intent on taking a shower and to my disgust I see ants all over the floor and floor mat. But no, it doesn't stop there. Later I discover ants on the night stand and in my suitcase that was laid out on the floor. Note: Nowhere the ants were, was there food of any kind! After my initial stun session on the conditions of this crap hole, I decide to take a deeper look (and more pictures). Taking a look between the toilet tank and the wall, I see a two by four, securing the tank to the wall, and on top of the two by four was a dirty piece of toilet paper along with filth covering the two by four. I don't know if yelp allows you to post pictures, but I have'em! Now lets talk about the"Wi-Fi" service. Yes they do have Wi-Fi, yes it is free. Can you use it? NO. Will they tell you this? Yes, AFTER you have checked in. We were told that the signal is so weak that we may have trouble using it. UNDERSTATEMENT! We are an internet dependent family and I specifically checked for Wi-Fi service. We brought our 17 year old daughter along and she uses internet for her phone, xbox, and netbook. The internet kept kicking her off of one thing after another. Very disappointing! Needless to say, we WILL NOT be staying here next year. I recommend The Victorian Rose, even though we've never stayed there. read more

Unfortunately my experience with this hotel was a disappointment... I had made a reservation for the weekend of Night in the Country back in January and was quoted their normal rate, $79 a night for all three nights, so we thought that was a deal. I called again later in February to reconfirm our stay, and the quoted price of $79 a night was the same. We received a phone call today (mid June) saying that our reservation should not have gone through, so we were told that our nightly rate was to increase to $200 a night. Unfortunately they said they would not honor the rate that I had been quoted originally. We promptly cancelled our reservation. We will not be planning on staying at this hotel in the near future, and we do not recommend to stay here for Night in the Country. read more

Rooms look clean at a glance, but upon closer inspection the bathrooms are moldy and stained. The beds are old lumpy and stained an so are the carpets. The rooms are severely in need of an update. The staff was decent especially Paulette. There's plenty of parking and places to eat close by but the room was way overpriced for the quality. I'm not staying there again. read more
