Ever since the new owner this company doesn't care about it's services or customer satisfaction anymore. After they blatantly didn't show up for my important dental appointment I had to reschedule but the dispatch is extremely impatient and rude. Only a few seconds on the phone and you can hear how much he hates his just b in his voice. One of my appointments had asked if I could go in an hour later. They were real busy. So I called main street taxi and told them of the the me change only to be ridiculed and asked if "I was positive this time was the time." with a terrible annoyed disposition. Absolutely garbage company now with zero people skills. I have better experiences with the drivers themselves. I have not had any negative experiences in the car. I was not riding the cab although I have used them frequently when Mike owned the business. This is an incident about a driver who had access to my car blocked when his passenger had spilled coffee in his cab. All of her things were on the ground between my driver's side door and his passenger door. I did express impatience about his passenger who was extremely slow in the store in front of me. He came around and got up in my face about my being rude. Even after I apologized, he was still in my face loudly complaining about my being rude. She did move some things aside and closed the door enough so I could get in my car, but he still loudly said I was rude. I apologized 3 times. Driver needs to check his temper. Horrible, the guy was nice but I got home from my 5 mile round trip and found my card was charged 40 dollars. Not to mention I was never told how much except during the ride he mentioned 2.50 a mile. He waited not even 5 minutes while I went to the store another 5 for Dunkin. When I called he said we charge 18$ to come out to me . I've never heard of being charged before I even get in. I've used this taxi company 2 times now. By far the most comfortable Ive ever been with a stranger. I hate taking Ubers or Lyfts. But my Driver was super nice and had me laughing the whole time. I wish I could give negative stars. Every time I've heard them, it's been terrible. First, they were 20 minutes late and when I called for an ETA, I was yelled at. The second time, my husband took them home from the ER, the driver not only wasn't wearing a mask but didn't even have one with him. The last straw was tonight. The driver gave me attitude when I asked him to wear a mask, argued with me about it, refused to speak to me the rest of the ride, charged me 5$ more than I was quoted, SIGNED THE CC RECIEPT IN MY NAME when I paid without even asking for permission and when I told him I wasn't okay with that he said "well I thought you wouldn't want to touch it". I'm disabled and occasionally call a cab for my kids to get to school if the weather is bad or it's too cold and I can't drive them due to a migraine or can't walk very well bec theThey have told me that they prefer this company over the others in town. Today I called and I think the man answering the phone either needs a hearing aid, a new phone or a better way to communicate like texting!. I was calling from my bedroom speaking clearly into a brand new iphone and no radio or TV was on- it was as quiet as it could possibly be. So the 3rd time I yelled so loud my daughter thought I was yelling for her help and she was downstairs.... anyway after two more times he finally got it and then he says "Oh... You mean ONE-Twenty-Three___ ___!" Needless to say I was already a bit frustrated! Then he asks me where the drop off was and I said rather loud "To the high school" & he asked again9, a bit gruffly "To Where" and was loud and very clear "Concord High School" and he says "Oh okay, Concord High" So after all that - All I can say is they showed and gave my son a ride and Thank God it wasn't a migraine day! read more

Showed up right on time as booked at 2:30am! Very nice guy, good driver, took me straight to the bus station. $9 -- $1 more than Uber was quoting during the day, but half the price Uber is quoting at this hour. Also a long wait for Uber now. Glad I decided to play it safe and book the taxi. Easy to book over the phone, dispatcher was nice, and I made sure to let him know it was important that I got picked up on time since I had to catch the 3:15am bus. We got on the taxi and it does not have any meters, and the driver never told us the fare until we got to the destination. We were trying to catch a bus so we were on a hurry, instead the driver went and picked another passenger up all because "you're all going the same way." It took another 20 minutes to pick up the other passenger and we ended up missing our bus and having to catch the one an hour later. So, not only did we have to share a taxi with a stranger, there was no meter in the cab and the lady acted like it was normal to do this. If I could give a 0 star i would. Please save yourself from a horrible experience and dont use this company. read more

I cannot speak to the level of their actual driving because my experience with this company didn't even get that far. I ordered a taxi very recently and, after having waited 25 minutes for a taxi that was supposed to pick me up within ten minutes, I called the company back to ask for an update. The dispatcher who works the second shift was one of the absolute worst purveyors of customer service that I've ever dealt with across any and all industries over the course of the last 20 years (I am 38 years old). The guy became enraged that I had the audacity to question where my taxi was and why it was 15 minutes late. He proceeded to tell me that he was calling my taxi ride off and promptly hung up on me. I was a cash customer. I tried to use a local cab company instead of a huge national chain like Uber, and that was the gratitude I got: a terrible dispatcher with an even worse attitude. I would encourage anyone who is reading this review (because they are thinking of using Main Street Taxi) to either call a different taxi company altogether or go with either Lyft or Uber. I can now understand why those two companies are thriving while taxi companies are dying off like the dinosaurs they are. This company doesn't have most of the capabilities that Uber and Lyft have to offer. As such, they should be going out of their way to attract and keep customers but instead, they've got Jonny McSurlyPants working dispatch and cancelling customer rides because he can't handle being questioned without taking it personally. I AM BEGGING EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU TO USE ANY OTHER TAXI OR RIDE-Sharing company available. I want to start this review by saying that none of this has anything to do with the cab drivers themselves - most of them are incredibly pleasant people and hard workers. I have a problem with the company itself and whoever is running it. For the last couple of years I have used MS Taxi to travel between Concord and other parts of NH. Almost every single time I call the line the operator is extremely rude. Based on other reviews I have seen this is a problem with the company across the board. Today I called for a cab, and though there was some cell interference I got the addresses through to the operator and he repeated them back to me. All's fine then, right? WRONG. After waiting 50 minutes I call back asking about my ride and am informed that they tried to call me (no they did not) and that they didn't have the right addresses because of the static in the conversation so they didn't know where to go (also wrong, he repeated the addresses back to me perfectly). I told them that I hadn't received a call, but that I would be more than happy to give them my address to get a ride as I still needed one. I was then rudely informed that the "owner" said not to do service with my address anymore because we're "too much trouble". In the past we have never had these address issues, I always pay my fare AND a very nice tip to my drivers, and have never had an unpleasant interaction with any of them. I'm not sure if it's really the "owner" who refuses to do business with us anymore over one simple (and terribly common) miscommunication between cab driver and line operator or not, but you can bet I will be using Uber exclusively from now on. And I will certainly be telling everyone I can about how incredibly and blatantly rude and dishonest this business is before they get treated like a lying POS too! Don't waste your money - Uber is comparable in price, you won't get garbage sass from some pathetic operator with a grudge against humanity, and your ride will actually show up because their line operator (a computer with less intellectual capacity) actually does its job. read more

Awful awful, do NOT call them. I called for a cab 2 days ago and the driver took 1 to get to my house, although the cab place is 20 minutes from me... I called there number and the guy was extremely rude. Like he didn't give a damn if I got picked up or not. The driver was horrible. Just awful place they are extremely unprofessional and they WILL make you late. They are WAY over priced and they have just horrible service. Please don't call this place. I locked my car keys in my trunk, and us out of the car at Ragged Mountain in Danbury, at 4pm on a Wednesday with my 2 small children and elderly mother in tow. The mountain was all but deserted at this time. My phone battery was dying, but I made a call to this company after getting no answer at several others. The owner answered, assured me he was on his way to come get us, (from 40 minutes away). He checked in once more along his drive to assure me he was coming and all would be ok. He arrived, with a toasty warm car and a charger that worked for my phone! He was patient and kind and helped us get to a safe, warm place. He went above and beyond and was more than reasonable for the time he spent helping us get the car situation squared away, & getting us to an appropriate spot. Within 6 minutes the cab showed up and did the round trip with me. Bob, of 70 plus years in the area, was personable, understanding and knew everything about what was going in the local area. He made my night a safe, entertaining and extremely delightful experience.
