Even if it was extra, having a canopy or tent available would have avoided so much moving around of everything from start to finish. Felt bad for the couple an 90 people there. They had to do so much work to make the interior so beautiful, then move - move- an move again. Just saying. Think about it.........

The space is incredible with the different areas as options for specific parts of the wedding or reception. Unfortunately, it also was dirty and greasy. Some examples: All the countertops were greasy and most of the available cookware and dishes were greasy, stained (that elbow grease removed) and/or had food remains on them. The vent in the room we had the rehearsal dinner in had thick black dust (maybe mold?) on it and the wall of windows were dirty inside and out. I had to ask an employee to pick food out of one of the trash cans, whose bottom was covered in black mold, before I could replace the trash bag. I emailed a more detailed list to Mr. Strunk and the venue and did get a response from Alexis that said "We will have a team meeting this week to discuss what we can do better with your review and revamp our in-house check list." I hope they do. Most of my concerns would not take a lot of time, money, or elbow grease to correct if they were completed on a regular basis. It seems as if there is no list of cleaning in preparation for an event. If there is, it isn't very comprehensive and/or the person responsible did not complete it. It wasn't until after the event that we saw the review of the venue that said a couple's meal was late because the caterers spent an hour cleaning the kitchen before beginning work. I want a venue with the same standards that that caterer had. This space is very cool, but the client should spend their time enjoying the event and not cleaning.

I love the style and how well they blended the natural environment and elements of our venue into the shots. There's a great balance between the details and the documentary style shots, and candid portraits of the wedding party and guests. Leading up to the wedding, we had no problem getting our questions answered and paying through their online invoicing system. We were able to visit the office and meet our photographers ahead of time and the whole experience was wonderful. We were welcomed with warmth and cupcakes! They pay attention to the details of the whole experience. This is a top-notch company. I had two disappointments (which is the reason why I didn't give a 5-star review. It would be 4.5 if I could!). The first is that photog team did not set up any fill lights for the formal portraits. I should have asked about this ahead of time, but I thought it was standard for professional portraits. At least at every wedding I have been to, there were a few diffusers or flashes set up even if the shooters were photojournalism/documentary style wedding photographers. The faces and eye sockets are more shadowed than I would have hoped. Also, in retrospect, we weren't getting any fun alternate angles for the group portraits, like looking over our shoulders, holding out our bouquets, holding hands, or moving to have a different background such as the lake in addition to having trees as the background. Alas! The second disappointment is that despite two photogs being there for over an hour while there was live music at our reception, we didn't receive a single image of the amazing seven-piece band in action. I would definitely recommend emilie inc. - just make sure you communicate about exactly what your expectations are ahead of time. Once the wedding schedule gets rolling, it is hard to remember your photography wish list. There are more important things to focus on, like being present for your loved ones and celebration! :)

At first It was a little bit tricky to find the available dates, but we found something, only complaint about the whole process was the availability of the specific house he wanted (large green combo bouncer that matched Minecraft lol) it seemed to be booked solid. Oh well, the Pirate ship looked like a "Minecraft world" he said. Pirate ship it is‍ So the price I was quoted ended up being for Friday all the way until Monday! Not just the day that I chose, that was absolutely incredible. As a single mom, I was really stressing out about the cost, the set up, everything, but it couldn't have been more simple process! I reserved the date with a $50 deposit, I didn't pay the rest until the delivery, and I was actually in North Conway when they arrived I was able to just pay the rest via email, super easy. I was panicking a little bit about where it would be set up, but the employee was extremely professional, and actually sent me screenshots of where everything would be so I could approve it. When I got home there it was in all its glory lol. An absolute behemoth, I don't think you really see how big they are until they're actually set up lol. I was able to also rent chairs and tables for dirt cheap, $2 a chair? Sign me up everything went off without a hitch, there was no issues at all with the bounce house performance, worked great! I know it's really nerve-racking to plan a little kids birthday these days, it's like nobody ever shows up which can be heartbreaking as a parent. Well, you don't have to worry about that if you rent one of these haha, I put "bounce house/splash pad so bring bathing suits" on the invites, and the entire class had been talking about it all week We had an amazing turn out! Over 30 people stopped by! The next morning, I woke up, and they were already taking it down for me, I went out to tip them, but other than that I didn't have to do a thing. I hate to keep mentioning that I'm a single mother, but when you're trying to do everything alone, you literally can't put a price on that type of service, but they have lol and it's EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE FOR WHAT YOU GET! I spent a total of $469 for the bounce house in the pictures, 6 chairs, 2 large banquet tables, delivery (all the way out near Porter) set up, taking it down, and we had it from Friday noon-Monday 9am Back in Cincinnati it would have been 1k easy. With the price of everything going up, it's amazing to see a company keeping rates affordable! I know this is a gushing review lol I promise I don't work for them, I'm just blown away with how easy it was, how LITTLE I had to do... I will be using them for every birthday moving forward lol.
