They would not return our deposit after covid caused us to cancel our 2020 wedding plans (due to…read morestate laws, not our own choice). Their justification was that they gave us until the next year to reschedule, but that's not an option for many couples and wasn't an option for us. This was the only vendor we worked with that wouldn't refund the money. We even gave them time to refund us and a year later still wouldn't budge. I understand how in general the wedding industry won't return deposits because they lost a day where they could have had another wedding, but this was clearly not the case. I would have tried legal action but the deposit amount wasn't worth it (and I'm sure the company knew this too). They took one of the most difficult situations of our lives and made it worse. Connie incorporated all of the religious elements I wanted in my ceremony, while still making sure the feel was spiritual -- that is, it never ever felt like I was sitting in Sunday School being lectured by a pastor. Said we were rude to write it was slow service and only give 10% We've eaten at restaurants all over the world and I'd say that kind of "experience" for appetizers and waters was ridiculous and being accosted at 9:10 pm in the dark at our car verged on craziness.
