We are…read morelocated in SW New Hampshire and with Portland being a 2+ hour drive, I needed assurance that the venue we chose would understand our needs, meet a reasonable budget, be responsive, impress and not cause embarassment! Our options were Keeley's or a local hotel ballroom. I was the organizer and the more I talked to the hotel event planners with their grandiose menus and high prices, the more I appreciated Keith's straightforwardness and practicality. I signed up with Keeley's. Our conference went quite well with about 50 attending. The generous space that we had included two big sections of the facility with tables and lecturn/screen in one room and displays and buffet in the other worked out very well. Their food as a part of the business special was very good with lots of variety. The day started with coffee, tea and a nice continental breakfast. Nothing fancy, but the smell of fresh baked cinnimon rolls really broke the ice with our attendees, many of whom we were meeting for the first time. The microphones, PA system and projector provided by Keeley's worked flawlessly. The high speed wifi did too. It's a family business. Keith is a good guy to work with: helpful, thoughtful and experienced. They deal with lots of wedding receptions and other family gatherings but he really likes business meetings and understands the needs of a medium sized business like ours. Other good things: Lots of (free) parking. A well kept building. Responsive staff. Timely food service. Good coordination with our needs. Easy access from I-95. 15 minutes from downtown.

We had a terrible experience with this company at our event. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but it was a disaster. She had no idea what she was doing, was nowhere to be found most of the time and when she was she was on her phone. She was not assertive nor organized. She even asked if I wanted to walk down the aisle...what? We also used Strange Events for bar tending and were reassured they knew what exactly to do for everything we wanted when in fact they did not. They used glass and plastic together-when plastic was supposed to be rolled out late night-they even told me they ran out of glasses (we found 12 slates of unopened glassware the next day!) I was horrified when I saw a guest with a solo cup! I understand things happen and I have tried to give grace but the fact that no one reached out to me after my email to the owner about my concerns showed the lack of professionalism. I finally received an email over a month and a half later which was so rude, very defensive and blamed me. It took no responsibility as an owner for my perspective (and that of my bridal party) for how the coordinator was- it also failed to mention any of the bartending issues. It was petty, passive aggressive and disrespectful- it said false things such as I was late for the walk through, when in fact the coordinator was late- it made light of "that not every petal will be perfect or every sign will be out" when in fact everything was detailed from my end so they should have been because that is in fact the job of a coordinator. I am appalled by the response, the lack of professionalism and just how rude someone could be towards another person especially in a service industry. Would not recommend to any of my friends getting married in the future.
