I had this one carpet that I was sure I was going to have to tear up - and it really wasn't terribly old. We had a male cat that had decided to mark his territory before he got fixed (over and over again I might add) - and it smelled horrible. I tried everything to get it out, even purchased this special stuff from the vets that it supposedly what people in forensics use to get the blood/protein out of crime locations. Didn't work. Paul showed up, and not only was able to get the smell out of carpet, but also gave me an education as it related to carpet stains and smells and why the over the counter stuff and other cleaning methods didn't, and wouldn't work. Bonus - the rugs looked fabulous! He certainly made a believer out of me! I will never rent a rug cleaner or buy over the counter products for this type of a job again.
