I've never had a problem getting a quick appointment, getting help from the nursing staff, or other delays. No problems whatever with my visit summaries going immediately to MyChart. As they're associated with the UM doctors' network I know I'm getting great care and when referred, will also be receiving superior treatment (I've had colon surgery and a hernia operation through their referrals. They did the same thing with my annual Mammogram. They mis coded this visit so it was not covered 100%. They are only focused on making money and not on the patient care. It's actually unethical.

When I visited this clinic for my annual check up I felt like the cleanliness of the facility, the modern design, patient -doctor and medical staff treatment, and ease of maneuvering through the different clinics were phenomenal. It was a combination of going to the airport without the hassle and the customer savvy style of the Apple Store. I literally had my mind blown because I was very impressed that staff were required to wear uniforms like airline staff. I was assisted at check-in by the staff who took my picture with the Microsoft surface and then gave me a badge to wear while I waited to be seen. As I waited - which was not long at all, I noticed that they had a complimentary refreshments station with coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc. At every turn I was impressed. Then when I went to get labs done I received a buzzer, similar to what you get at red lobster or Applebee's when you wait get notified that your table is ready. The first words out of her mouth were 'Well... I have two children and I could not have done it without the love and support of my partner.' She proceeded to ask me the following questions: -- Was I financially secure enough to raise a kid? (39 with a very successful business) -- Why not consider adoption? (Always a consideration of mine but expensive and I want to try natural conception while I'm still young) -- Why not consider dating someone with a kid? (Already a stepmom from my previous relationship) She asked me how I planned on getting pregnant and how I planned to give birth. I told her I pondered home birth and she proceeded to tell me a home birth nightmare story. All in all it was an incredibly shaming and negative experience. Absolutely nothing positive or empowering was uttered from her mouth and being a woman doctor--who supposedly embraces an alternative lifestyle--I expected a lot more out of her. I was definitely emotional in our visit but I don't think that was justification for her to be so judgmental. I sought out a holistic doctor to have a more positive experience not to be treated like I'm incapable and out of touch with my own aspirations as a human. It's taken me some time to have the courage to write this review but I think it's important. I wouldn't want someone else to have the same experience. Dr. Omlie told me in front of witnesses at 5 separate office appointments that the orthopedic surgeon botched the surgery. He told us the orthopedic surgeon caused the death of my lower limbs. He told me that the orthopaedic surgeon misdiagnosed me and that my limbs were dying due to the orthopedic surgeon botched the surgery. He told me in front of witnesses at five separate appointments. At first, Dr. Omlie was concerned, trying to save me from blood poisoning. I felt grateful that he seemed sincere and cared about my well-being. Then Dr. Omlie switched everything he said to us. We took photos and notes at every appointment. Dr. Omlie had a meeting with the other doctors in the group and Fairview. All of a sudden my diagnosis changed. Dr. Omlie's disposition changed in fear of a medical malpractice lawsuit. He was wrong. He did not uphold the medical Hippocratic oath in our opinion. Dr. Omlie was completely on my side telling my family what happened to me at first he believed it was compartment syndrome. I didn't know what that was. Dr. Omlie explained he the surgery was devastating to my lower limbs the bandages from the operation were wrapped aggressively tight cutting off blood flow then death to my feet. He said, I would lose both of my feet, and he would salvage the heels and ankle. I was absolutely devastated. "A healthy person goes into, what most think of as a minor surgery and loses their feet" Dr. Suggested that I wait for a bit until demarcation was finished and he would know where to amputate. My family and I were dealing with this unbelievable tragedy. We felt he was completely reckless and his lack of medical care could of killed me. 2 days later, I'm at the hospital for a previously scheduled appointment with a doctor who was extremely concerned about the Orthopedic surgeon NOT Me. He was absolutely unethical. I went to go stop and see Dr. Omlie to tell him what happened and he completely changed. He said, the group called a meeting and we should let the surgeon (that almost killed me and did kill my feet) be in surgery with him. Now Omlie wants the inept orthopedic surgeon involved that "killed my feet" in another operation, while he's amputating me! ??? I was stunned, he flipped on a dime. When I tried to tell him what the unethical doctor did, he laughed and said "I'll have to have a little talk with those boys". We were completely dumbfounded. He completely changed what he was telling us prior for weeks. Then he was referring to his colleagues as "boys". In our opinion, Dr Omlie changed his story-diagnosis and treatment of care for greed. His medical group was way more important then his patient's life. I was heartbroken, I really wanted to believe that Dr. Omlie had ethics. As I stated, this my personal experience with Dr. Omlie. I truly hope no one experiences the horror experiences I had with him. My whole network of friends still have nightmares about the unethical treatment we witnessed and I received.

An update to the handicap parking problems…read more The only handicap spots are still only in a parking lot you have to pay for. The clinic told me there was "plenty" of street parking. There is not. On either side of the building that is no parking on the street. There are parking spots in front of the building on the street. Those spots are limited because of competition with customers to about a dozen business and several apartment buildings. This location is between two bus stops so you'll have to walk at least a block to get to the building.

Wow! What a great new facility! I generally try to avoid going to the doctor, but this may change…read moremy mind! Admittedly, this is really close to my neighborhood. So, first and foremost, it is extremely convenient by bike or car! However, when I walked in for the first time today, I was even more excited. You walk in to a very small and welcoming reception area with no line! (I was able to deal with all of that 'initial paperwork stuff' within 10 minutes.) Since the clinic has multiple departments, including family health, urgent care and chiropractor, they ask you to wait in the area designated to your department. Again, we were the only ones in the place and were able to avoid that mass waiting room like usual. The waiting area had large open windows to watch the happenings on Chicago Ave.; a nice change from dull white walls. The actual walls are decorated with tasteful artwork! I love the actual exam rooms! They have two doors so that the nurses/doctors can access them from their own office area rather than the public entrance. It eliminates so many people walking around and the uncomfortable feeling that someone is dying because it reminds you of that episode of ER or Grey's Anatomy... I digress. The staff was extremely pleasant! They made me feel welcome and calm. Everyone explained information in detail, but without sounding like a pretentious 4th year med student. The nurse even showed me information (and pictures) on the internet during our appointment so that I had a better understanding - helpful and educational! I can totally see this being my new primary care provider soon. Great location! Great facility! AND, it is located right next to the Town Hall Tap and Pumphouse Creamery - two of my favorites! I never did see a sign that identified the building as 3800, I went to another address and figured it out. * There are various parking lots with signs telling why you can't park in that lot. *It was a walking maze, I met a woman who was clearly disabled as she could not find a handicapped entrance or easy entrance. * Inside I thought I would look for a cafeteria for a later stop, a few signs said they had one but wasn't clear where it was. Finally saw a sign that said it closes at 1pm. That's still lunch! * Restroom, just tried one, door lock didn't work properly, No soap in container, No hot air dryer, paper towel dispenser out of paper, no hot water. Oh yes there is sign regarding "clean hands are healthy hands". Found my waiting room which was pleasant and quiet and decorated in soft tones. Not much waiting, (I spent so much time trying to find my way it was getting late). I saw a specialist for a not to serious matter and felt rushed. I don't think I spent more than 12 minutes in his care. No one saw me out of the room.

Doctor never examined me-instead spent my appt telling me how AI has helped them cut their work in half and talked to me about a medicine I don't want or need. Clearly she gets a kick back if I go on it. At the end of my appt she told me there wasn't enough time for my breast exam. 2. Same doctor takes weeks to respond to prescription refills and referrals for pediatric eye care 3. Other OB doctor took several weeks to respond to my daughter's potential health concern regarding her pregnancy. They finally called back after several pleas for results. Causing undue stress on a pregnant mother. 4. Makes no difference if you have been their patient for 20+ years-you can't get in to see your doctor My family and I are now shopping for new doctors.
