St. Nikolaus treats for my son from Mainzer Deli

Amazing little German deli in Pinecrest. They have the best German chocolates and goodies. I especially love coming here in the winter months to buy stocking stuffer goodies. They also have yummy savory treats such as a bratwurst sandwich with sauerkraut. Please keep supporting this local staple!

We stopped by this place because my husband has a hankering for pastrami. Sadly, the owner Olga explained to us that currently they do not carry it, but we decided to try some of the sandwiches anyway. Olga is super nice and patiently answered our questions, explaining the different "wurst" and all the new and exciting (to me) grocery items they carry. She apologized that some stocks are low or out due to COVID, but there are still plenty of products that look interesting. I was excited to see boxes of De Ruijter chocolate sprinkles, which my Dutch friends have introduced to me. While most Americans only use them on ice cream sundaes, over there they are generously sprinkled over buttered toast as part of breakfast - for adults and kids alike! I got a can of Almdudler, a soda from Austria, to go with my knackswurst roll. The sausage is really tasty with a nice snappy casing. As for the sandwich, we ordered corned beef but not sure if that's what we got. There are also delicious looking salads in the case as well. The only down side is there is no sitting area at all, only a two-person table outside, so best to plan on take out.

They have been around for FIFTY YEARS! I know because my friend that I went with has been going there for 40 years and the owner said that the just celebrated year 50. It is a small store, but the shelves have a lot of variety of products from Germany and the surrounding areas. A nice display of sausages and things of the like. My friend got egg salad and potato salad and swore it is the best around, yet my friend didn't offer me any. RUDE! Lol. Very nice little place and the owner is so very sweet. Stop by when you are in the area.

Nice little market. I always walked by this place and wanted to try it until today.... I decided to come in an have a Brat. Bratwurst with sauertkraut and of course... mustard. Excellent served hot wrapped in foil just like in Germany. Add a beer and voila... lunch! Great German beer a premium pilsner. Perfect with my sandwich. This combo was $8.40 Excellent Service is friendly. The market has a few cold cuts and some cheese. Also crusty European style bread and lots of fruit preserves. German spices, etc. It isn't very stacked but it is mostly things you don't find at a regular market.

Nice little family owned deli/store. They sell products such jelly/jam, mustard, candies, cold cuts and many more things from Europe...Germany. Everything seems to be imported and most of the labels are in German (assuming here). They make sandwiches and have different types of cold salads available. We came for the sandwiches. We ordered roast beef on rye which was fresh and delicious. We waited a bit (worth it) since there were a few people before us and just two people tending the store. It seems to be run by the husband and wife (at least that what it seemed) and they have a constant stream of people. They were nice and knew some of the customers by name. There is a table outside for two but the place is not really intended for you to eat there. I thought the prices were fair for all the items they sell. The sandwiches we ordered were $6.95. Definitely coming back to try some more of the goodies they sell.

Cute little German store! It is very difficult to find German products in Miami. Mainzer's Deli has a variety of spices and treats from Germany. It is also the first place I've found to have sweet Bavarian mustard. They also have German chocolate and beer. From their deli section I tried the Sweden farmers cheese and it was super tasty! It was like a semi hard cheese, with a mild creamy flavor, just delicious. The owners are super friendly, I'm planning to go back closer to thanksgiving because they are going to be receiving all the traditional holidays goodies

Tiny shop, but stuffed with goodies!

They've got all the cool goodies: mooshi, Asian Oreos, fun sodas, moon cakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, wafer cookies, Hershey's cookies, and many more.... What makes it even better is how practical the place is. They offer free parking for two hours (a big win in Miami), and the selection goes way beyond snacks: soups, Asian chips, frozen entrées and appetizers like shrimp or noodle snacks, even Thai canned soups. You could literally set up a full-course meal just from their shelves. I also love that they even carry cutlery, so they've got you covered from shopping to serving. And a special shoutout to Marissa at the register, she's always super helpful and genuinely happy to assist, which makes the shopping experience much better. It never gets super packed so you can easily enjoy and take time to contemplate all the different treats they offer. Wow, it's my beloved Hanna & Tiger!! it's my favorite Asian mart in Kendall area, and while they are not HMart or T&T, they seem on track to be THE Asian grocery chain in Miami!! Unlike the smelly, dingy ethnic mart of the older generation, Hanna & Tiger knows well how to cater to the younger generations. Walking in, front and center are snacks and merchandise with pokemon and other familiar anime characters on them. Ramen, ramune soda, exotic flavors of Oreos, Lays potato chips and more... It's as much as feast for the eyes as for the stomach. Everything is neatly organized. I want to try everything!! Come here for a fun trip to Asia. I admit I don't know much about Brazilian cuisine, but there are brigadeiros (similar to truffles), quindims, coxinhas, pão de queijo, empadas and more. There are a few tables so if you like, you can enjoy the food right there, along with a coffee, which they also sell. Their cheese bread is like three for a little over $1, and I doubt you can find anything as filling and satisfying than these for such low price. Many people think I only love Brazilian culture because of the their Miss BumBum pageant…read more https://youtu.be/6BY1aj2alH8 That may or may not be true, but let me tell you this. I drove all the way down to Homestead today just to spend $10/per pound on some Jabuticaba. I know what your thinking, what the hell is Jabuticaba, it sounds like some kind of voodoo artifice, but it's not, it's actually Brazil's second greatest asset outside of their women, the Brazilian grape. After I picked up my grapes I had a strong urge for some Brazilian pastries, so I checked yelp and found that Mercado Brasil was in the vicinity. As soon as I walked into this place, I knew I would love it. The place isn't huge, but they probably have anything you're looking for that's Brazilian. I saw all of my favorite pastries including ones I wasn't aware of like Coxinha, empada's, Pao de queijo the holy grail of all snacks, pastel queijo, imported Juices like Caju, imported frozen pastries, sweets and meats like cupim, imported sodas, imported general groceries, clothes and flags. I asked the woman who was working there that I wanted to buy just one Pao de queijo(cheese bread), I wanted to make sure I liked it and she gave it to me for free. It was delicious, I ended by buying 2 dozen of them, a couple of coxinha, a caju juice, a pastel queijo, and a frozen bag of coxinha. There's an urban legend that states if you present a Brazilian outside of Brazil with Jabuticaba they will literally shiver like they're in Siberia and fall in love with you. The woman who worked there was Brazilian, being she gave me the free cheese bread I decided to part with some of my beloved jabuticaba, so I told her I was going to give her a present. The minute she saw them she started to shiver as the legend states, she didn't even wash them, she just gulped them down. Whether she has fallen in love with me or not, I'll see the next time I drop in.
