Wonderful for delicious gluten free crepes as well as the glutenous variety. All of the savory crepes are made with buckwheat flour and sweet crepes can be made gluten free as well. All of our crepes were delicious and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the activity of Grand Place. The menu is all in French and they only take cash. read more

Great crepes! The space is small but the staff all speak English or French and probably a wide variety of other languages. They do only take cash, so be prepared. We went there twice during our stay and had different crepes each time. Loved it and highly recommend! read more

This was a fun little creperie. The menu has plenty of options to satisfy anyone. I ordered the chicken with mushrooms and cheese. It was all very good and all, but the salad seemed like it came from a package and the chicken was a little over cooked. The flavor was good though and so were the prices. I have no idea how come anyone can rate this place better than two stars at the very most (which would be a very kind-hearted grade, too), considering the complete lack of service and friendliness, not to mention the substandard food that is offered at the Maison des Crêpes. Our waiter was borderline hostile when I simply asked him how big the servings of crêpes were (which, it turned out, consist of one crêpe), and when I got said crêpe it was a pretty sorry excuse for a pancake. Judging by the consistency of it, it had been made a long time ago and then just briefly re-heated in a microwave before being served to me; dry, chewy and utterly bland. My boyfriend's dish, however, was a lot worse; the salad niçoise is a horrible joke, comprised of violently overcooked green beans (which were closer to brown), a tiny cluster of low-quality canned tuna, mixed with pieces of anchovies, a basic, uninspired green salad, some pointless and tasteless white toast, and a couple of boiled eggs, cooked so hard it was almost laughable. Also, they were not exactly _freshly_ overcooked either - by the looks of them, I'd say they'd been sitting in a fridge for about 4-5 days before they ended up on my boyfriend's plate. The whole dish was also covered in a gross salad sauce which managed to ruin the whole thing to completion. He eats just about anything, but couldn't get more then half of that food down. Stopped in here for dinner based on the Yelp reviews. We sat on the patio and ordered savory crepes. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I forget the name of the one I got but it had potatoes, bacon fresh cream and horseradish...it was flavorful and delicious. My friends ordered other varieties and were a little disappointed in the crepe itself...these were very thing (as crepes are, I know) but dry and on the verge of being crisp...so they were a little different than what they expected. I've never had a Belgian crepe so I have to assume this is just culturally how theirs are? Who knows but mine was delicious so Maison des Crepes gets 4 stars. Only one negative - we sat on the patio until late and were then slightly harassed by a wondering man who called himself Tom Jones and claimed to be a professor. The owner of the restaurant came out to shoo him away and said he is actually homeless and doesn't like him hanging around. I, however, was forgiving because he told me I was the most beautiful woman in the whole world. Men, take note...women like nicely worded compliments - even if they're are served up by a homeless man. The owner than told us to watch our purses because the pick-pockets were out. So I guess I would suggest dining inside later in the evening. read more

Located in a tucked away part of the Brussels Grand Place, this quaint little establishment prizes itself for service and interesting decor inside its cozy little setup. read more

To be honest, crepes were ok, but service was extremely rude! This guy at the entrance even didn't say hello to us, besides when I asked if it's open sitting he started to talk to me in French, then I asked if he speaks English and he replied angrily "Do YOU speak English?" It made me feel like my English sucks and I'm not welcomed here. After I explained him what does "open sitting" mean he told us that we can occupy any table we want so we choose one by the window, but he replied "it's reserved" and pointed on only two available for us in absolutely empty section (at that time) so basically it was not an open sitting. It was our first time in Brussels and, honestly I was very disappointed with such service. It seems like people there don't like English speaking visitors :( read more

One of the best Crepes I ever tasted! I like especially La Fermiere and La Basquaise! The place is also very typical Bruxellois with the walls, tables and overall interior feeling. The mikado and "crepe aux pommes caramelisees" are delicious ! Simple crepes are dry but its still very good ( especially with a hot chocolate in the winter). Price is not too high and the service is great ! I would definitely recommand this place ! read more

Definitely fantastic!! The raspberry juice is like freshly picked raspberries crushed up in a glass. The crepes were light and phenomenal. 1 kid ate the Italian crepe with mozzarella and tomatoes and the other kid had ham, cheese and mushrooms with a sauce. Both of these were savory crepes. Parents had already had sandwiches earlier and enjoyed dessert crepes - chocolate, coconut and vanilla ice cream, while my husband had apples with cinnamon sugar. The only downside was we were not able to just get water from the tap and on a warm day a lot of water was really desired. Extremely friendly and sweet waitress.
