The very first Le Pain Quotidien in the world! I stumbled upon this cafe whilst waiting for my friend in Brussels. It was quite cold outside so I went with the delicious strawberry tart and a fresh cup of tea. It was perfect and the service was very nice!

Yup. Nutella-like spread in 4 different flavors.

OK Yelp. You finally got your act together and invited Belgium to the party. Yeah, only about a year after I visited. Nice work! We needed some breakfast and had to use TripAdvisor to find something close. I was cursing you and extolling the glories of TripAdvisor in a nasty, little, steam of consciousness sonnet all the way over. But the walk to Le Pain calmed me down and after a minute at that beautiful center table I was positively perky. "What's that? You serve coffee in a mug the size of a small bucket? Why, Yes please!" "You have 35 different jams and preserves in addition to 4 different flavors of Nutella??" ............"Four?!" "And I get to enjoy a good meal in this beautiful room listening to conversations in three different languages while inhaling the aroma of fresh baked bread??" Awesome!!!

Adorable little cafe, the bread was fresh, coffee was delicious and the service was great. Went twice while staying in Brussels!

This is a delectably moist and delightfully apple-cinnamony muffin from your Brussels store that I thoroughly loved.

Somewhat strange setup: you find a table, make note of your table number, line up for food at the counter, and they bring your order out. We visited on a Friday morning: it took 5 minutes in line to order and another 30 minutes for the food -- popular place. My wife & I each got the Vegan Rustic breakfast (€13), which comes with a nice dark bread, hummus, avocado, green tomato, and a choice of orange or apple juice, and a hot drink (we got doppio espresso). We also split a very nice vegan croissant (€2.50). The main food items were very simply but tasty and well-executed: the bread was hearty, the avocado was fresh, the hummus was well-made, and the tomatoes were fresh and juicy. Perhaps not the greatest deal given the portion you're getting, but we were content enough. Good spot for vegetarian and vegan breakfast.

We had a flight to catch later that day so we wanted to go first then when it opened. We got there right when it's supposed to open but they said they weren't ready to seat anyone yet. There was a few other people waiting also. When we finally were allowed to go inside and got seated, they said they weren't serving food until 930am and could only take drink orders for now. We decided to wait even though there was even more waiting. When we finally got our food, the order was incorrect and they had to remake one of our dishes. The chef didn't make it a big deal and quickly made the dish again which was nice. I was slightly frustrated because all this time waiting and then they make a mistake! The food was so delicious, tasty and so worth the wait!!! Our favorite thing was the vegan pancakes. There was some sort of cream in between each pancake. It was stacked high and came out hot and fresh. It was one the best vegan pancakes I ever had. It's definitely a must have to order!!! The coffee was average. By the time we left, the restaurant was full. Definitely worth the wait, great place to go!
