We would have never known about this place had it not been for our friend who did Peace Corps in Georgia. We had been so excited to try it, especially with someone who speaks Georgian.
This is not a fancy place by any means. If you're going here, it's because it's the only place in Brussels to have authentic Georgian food. The owners are incredibly nice and welcoming! Make a reservation though, because it can fill up!
We ordered pretty much everything on the menu including cheese and meat khinkali, the amazingly cheesey khachapuri, badrijani nigvzit, lobios fhkali, the succulent ajafsandali, the saucy kharcho, and the perfectly cooked mtsvadi. Lastly we finished off with a couple slices of a nice homemade caramal walnut cake.
Everything was delicious! We also tried a surprisingly delicious taragon soda, and a couple bottles of Georgian red wine. We ended the night with a few shots of chacha.
There was also some impromptu singing from the owners. Was a really unique experience!
My only reason for four instead of five stars is that the wine is a quite spendy at 30€ a bottle, and the chacha wasn't listed on the menu for the price and we ended up paying a whole lot more than we expected. Maybe that's our fault for not inquiring. read more
