So one night while making my way back to my hotel in Roma Norte, after some late night drinking, I…read morenoticed a spot that was open that didn't look like a bar or taco shop. They had a pretty good crowd, that's when I noticed it was a churro shop and it was called El Moro. During my weeklong trip to Mexico City I ended up visiting this shop multiple times during all different times of the day and evening. This business I found out later has multiple locations and is one of the most famous churro shops in all of Mexico City. I really enjoyed them so much-their churros are made fresh all day I liked that this location was super clean and had plenty of tables to sit to enjoy your freshly made churros and coffee drinks. Speaking of coffee drinks, they have excellent coffee as many a mornings on this trip started with coffee from El Moro. Their churros are very inexpensive as they run about 16 pesos($0.95 USD) each.So we always grabbed a few every visit. The churros had a really good size to them and were just doused in cinnamon and sugar-they tasted perfect both sweetness level and texture-wise. I generally always ordered Americanos which ran 55 pesos($3.25 USD) Not the best value in the world but good enough/they matched up well with the fresh churros. Overall I would highly recommend stopping by El Moro if you run across one of them on your travels to Mexico City-I really enjoyed them and look forward to visiting them again on future visits to Mexico City.

Everything was amazing. Going to be hard to beat, pastry wise. Even my non-sweet loving bf, loved it. The staff are also so sweet and efficient, and the spot itself is super cute. Will be back.

Came here during rush hour, wait was about 25 mins, we roamed around the neighborhood before grabbing a table inside. We had kids including an infant, they were very accommodating getting us a good spot(Staff is super nice and courteous). Decor is super and the staff in the back have a live bakery where they make fresh goods. We had breakfast which we really liked including our coffees, we wrecked not a big fan on pancake as it has coconut flavor and the guava pastry was the star of the show. Good spot to grab coffee/pastry or for a sit down meal.

Basically three churros in one. It came out warm, perfectly crisp, and coated in the best cinnamon topping. You're asked if you want sugar or cinnamon sugar, and with a bit of a language barrier (they don't speak much English), I just said yes and ended up with half cinnamon, half sugar. No complaints here! The cashier and staff were all super friendly and smiley, which made the experience even better despite the communication gap. Overall, such a delicious stop and 100% worth it.

For $65, you can get a whole pint and a half down the street at the Farmacia but this is well worth it.
