My six-year-old had some challenging days involving frustration, transitions, sharing, and asking for help. We did not ignore these concerns. We communicated with the school, worked with him at home, arranged outside support, and began pursuing a professional evaluation to better understand his needs. Although the school documented that he benefited from calm redirection and individual guidance, his enrollment was ended before the evaluation was completed. We were not given a gradual improvement plan or enough time to see whether additional structure and support would help him succeed. Afterward, a classroom-wide message was posted discussing challenging behaviors among several students. Because of the timing and surrounding circumstances, our family was left feeling as though our child had been singled out, even though he was not named. I understand that schools must protect classroom safety and that teachers cannot provide constant one-on-one attention. However, young children will have both good and difficult days. In my opinion, education should include helping children learn from those difficult moments--not only expecting them to arrive already knowing how to manage every emotion, transition, and social situation. Based on our experience, this may not be the best setting for a child who needs additional patience, structure, redirection, or time to grow socially and emotionally. I encourage parents of children who may need extra support to ask detailed questions about the school's behavior policies, improvement plans, communication procedures, and how much support is offered before a child's enrollment is ended. I am not sharing this out of anger. I simply believe other parents deserve to understand our experience when deciding whether this environment will meet their child's individual needs.

I let the front desk…read morelady know that I needed temporary childcare for 3 months ONLY for my daughter who is speech and developmental delayed and I vividly expressed that she does not do well with change so she will need the willingness of the teachers to give her time to adjust to the new environment. My daughter was transferring from another daycare so it's not like she's not used to school. The first day she wined in the beginning and threw up because she was crying and uncomfortable. They didn't call me and pushed through it and after she realized she was staying at school regardless she settled down and had a great rest of the day, from what 2 different teachers told me. But the next day it happened again and the front desk lady was adamant on making sure I was called if she puked so I could pick her up, which is totally fine I know my daughter isn't sick, no fever, no cough nothing, I'll go get a drs note and show her that she's fine, we just need willingness to get my daughter through this right? No not at all, because the very next day she threw up again from her nerves and I was called to pick her up and for the lady at the front desk to tell me that she's sending transfer papers out and this isn't a good fit for daycare for my daughter. Even though I said ahead of time that my daughter would not have an easy adjustment period. I wasted 150$ plus buying all these uniforms required for them to push her out of the door without even giving her a chance to get used to everything. I could see if after 2 weeks she wasn't getting any better than yeah duh but no you just showed me how unfit, uneducated, uncaring, unwilling, and how this school will not make any effort to make a child whose delayed comfortable. Sometimes new children need extra attention temporarily to feel safe. And if you have employees working there that are so uneducated and unwilling to help struggling children and PARENTS then you shouldn't be a facility period. I will never refer a child here. Because if you're child isn't perfect walking in the door then they will transfer your child out of the facility without a notice or even trying. Im literally disgusted with the experience i just had here and the time and money i barely had wasted. I struggle buying food let alone paying a registration fee, uniforms and a weekly fee to a place who doesn't want to try. The owner or director or who ever runs this place needs to redirect the front desk lady to not checking out every child who isn't perfect. And my email says the school wrote the reason for discharge was because i requested it. WOW LMAO. No its because the front desk lady told me that my daughter puking from being nervous was too much for them to handle. Her previous daycare Hope Montessori Academy couldn't believe how fast we were given up on. I should have kept her at that previous school. They were absolutely amazing with my daughter so thats how i know for a fact that Vero Beach Preschool did not care to try AT ALL.

They truly are a faith based school and I couldn't believe how much she learned and progressed in a school year. Even with testimony from another child and parent who said that she did not do some thing she got in trouble for, they never took her word for it. When she would tell her teacher about what another student was doing she was told to "stop tattling", yet, it was perfectly fine for her to get tattled on every day for the petties infractions. Her 3rd grade teacher never had anything positive to say about her, when there are so many positive qualities about her. The final straw was when Tabath Tuccillo- The wife of a youth pastor nonetheless- slandered and gossiped about my eight-year-old daughter to another parent who was volunteering in the lunchroom. She did not know that this other parent was a friend of my family. Had she kept her serpent tongue tied down, I would've never had the confirmation I needed to know what my daughter was being treated like at this school. I formally withdrew my daughter that same day. Who knows what other horrible things she has said about my daughter to other parents and staff, or what she has said to or about other children. So thank you, Masters Academy, and Tabitha Tuccillo, for showing your true colors. Now I know what to tell other parents when they ask me what my experience was like having my daughter at Masters Academy. A round of applause for outstanding Christian citizenship!
