My daughter was transferring from another daycare so it's not like she's not used to school. The first day she wined in the beginning and threw up because she was crying and uncomfortable. They didn't call me and pushed through it and after she realized she was staying at school regardless she settled down and had a great rest of the day, from what 2 different teachers told me. But the next day it happened again and the front desk lady was adamant on making sure I was called if she puked so I could pick her up, which is totally fine I know my daughter isn't sick, no fever, no cough nothing, I'll go get a drs note and show her that she's fine, we just need willingness to get my daughter through this right? No not at all, because the very next day she threw up again from her nerves and I was called to pick her up and for the lady at the front desk to tell me that she's sending transfer papers out and this isn't a good fit for daycare for my daughter. Even though I said ahead of time that my daughter would not have an easy adjustment period. I wasted 150$ plus buying all these uniforms required for them to push her out of the door without even giving her a chance to get used to everything. I could see if after 2 weeks she wasn't getting any better than yeah duh but no you just showed me how unfit, uneducated, uncaring, unwilling, and how this school will not make any effort to make a child whose delayed comfortable. Sometimes new children need extra attention temporarily to feel safe. And if you have employees working there that are so uneducated and unwilling to help struggling children and PARENTS then you shouldn't be a facility period. I will never refer a child here. Because if you're child isn't perfect walking in the door then they will transfer your child out of the facility without a notice or even trying. Im literally disgusted with the experience i just had here and the time and money i barely had wasted. I struggle buying food let alone paying a registration fee, uniforms and a weekly fee to a place who doesn't want to try. The owner or director or who ever runs this place needs to redirect the front desk lady to not checking out every child who isn't perfect. And my email says the school wrote the reason for discharge was because i requested it. WOW LMAO. No its because the front desk lady told me that my daughter puking from being nervous was too much for them to handle. Her previous daycare Hope Montessori Academy couldn't believe how fast we were given up on. I should have kept her at that previous school. They were absolutely amazing with my daughter so thats how i know for a fact that Vero Beach Preschool did not care to try AT ALL.

I did not even want to give La Petite Academy a star. There are so many things wrong with this…read moredaycare. Lets start with the fact that they have let my nephew go home multiple days in the same diaper he arrived in. I know this because they use different diapers than we do here at home and he was sent home in the same diaper he went that morning in. My nephew has been bit multiple times by various children but mostly one child with no resolution from La Petite. I have significant experience in daycares and with child development as I have been in this field myself. What is going on is NOT normal child behavior, and leads me to question the supervision provided at La Petite. When you bring up a concern, you are treated poorly and they speak to you nastily. It has been nothing but a nightmare since my nephew has begun here.

He talks all the time, sings songs, helps at home, eats nearly everything we do, willingly, and LOVES his friends at school! We're so grateful for the opportunity for him to stay through middle school. I can see the benefits of the school in each interaction with every child that I encounter. The parents are great, and the school fosters a true sense of community. I'm eager to see my son continue to flourish with the support and guidance from the staff who care for him like their own child. The individualized approach to learning helps the child to find what they enjoy, how they learn best, and to learn at their pace with their friends doing the same. I love that they can help each other learn while developing social confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities and so many other benefits! Highly recommend it!

We only stayed as long as we did because we were waiting for construction of Primrose in Tradition to finish and for it to finally open. Sun Grove is painfully lacking in communication skills with parents and very defensive when dealing with a parent who has a concern or a grievance. A few of the upper staff are highly defensive, abrasive and disrespectful towards parents. The parents of Sun Grove deserve better. Mandatory (they call it volunteer) labor hours for parents and if these hours are not met, they charge money for every hour not completed. We pay over $800 a month tuition. Where is our money going? Why can't they hire professionals to fix things around the school? Extreme food restrictions for lunches/snacks. Parent/student-shaming if an unapproved food is sent. If you're going to only require fruits and vegetables for snacks, they need to be kept cold in order for them to stay viable all day! A small cold pack is not going to stay cold long enough to do that and the school does not offer refrigeration. When we try to send a non-perishable item that our 4yo will actually eat, it is taken away and sent home with a no-no note. Campus floods badly frequently causing parents to have to pick their children up mid-day and often have to leave work to do so. No programs like music, language, etc. No covered playground in the hot Florida sun. Fire ant issues. Our daughter received many fire ant bites. Tons of bugs and mosquitos. Located in a very run-down area of Fort Pierce Fl. Parents are pulling their kids from this school left and right and for good reason. They also currently have no head of school as she was fired after the end of the last school year. Never thought I'd have to say this but steer clear!
