I highly recommend Majeske Home Inspection service. Since I'd already bought the condo with no contingencies, I needed to know what shape it was in and what needed to be done first. I had scheduled multiple servicemen at the same time Mark was doing his inspection, so it was great that he was able to operate independently without me having to be present for the entire inspection. Mark DID come get me a few times when there was something important that I really needed to see, and the review at the end was perfect! He showed me everything he inspected, including photos, briefly explained what was going on, and gave a rough estimate of how each repair could be completed along with a ballpark figure. This is exactly what I needed! An immediate report and a list of projects, explained concisely, so that I could prioritize them in order of "dangerous - fix NOW!" to "cosmetic - fix when I can." I also can turn this report, including photos, into the Condo Association and request they fix what they are responsible for. Easy peasy! I really didn't know what to expect with my home inspection. I knew that the house I was buying was rather solid, so I guess I expected a rather cursory report, a chipped molding here, a missing roof tile, there. Was I surprised! Jacob inspected the house from inside out. I looked away for a moment and suddenly, he was up on the roof, finding things I suppose the homeowner hadn't even known about. Inside of the house, Jacob turned on and inspected every water faucet, every appliance and every system in the house. As he went around, he had the patience to explain to us how things worked and what we needed to keep an eye on. When he disappeared it was because he had scurried up to an attic, accessible through a panel in the ceiling. He probed areas I hadn't even known existed. In the end, the report Jacob provided was detailed and thoroughly understandable. Once I move in, I plan to use the report as my plan of attack to remediate all of the problems Jacob uncovered. No matter what I asked him, Jacob knew how everything worked. I am completely amazed at his expertise. Not only was Jacob knowledgeable, but he was amiable and considerate. My Experience from Start to Finnish: I arrived 5 min early, Jacob was already there with his ladder and supplies. We started with the exterior of the house and basically walked all around looking at the ground up. When he got to the roof he was able to walk up on the roof and take lots of pictures of the things I could not see. Moving into the house he checked the outlets and all the appliances including the washer and dryer in the basement. Jacob was very thorough and basically took as much time as it needed to see everything. As I mentioned before, he took a photo of everything and made voice notes into his phone that some how loaded into a program. I'm very glad he did this because after 2 hours my brain was on overload of information and I had already forgot some of the things he said. At the end he showed me the 50+ page document and sent it by email to both myself and my realtor. He did a excellent job and deserves 10 starts if you ask me. read more

Mark is highly competent and friendly. He has really strong communication skills - not just at the end of the inspection but during the whole process as well. He invited us to tag along with him as much or as little as we wanted as he worked. I felt comfortable asking a lot of questions. Mark dictated into his tablet device and took very detailed pictures as he went along. At the end of the inspection, his report was emailed and sent to our inbox as I was writing the check. I left the inspection feeling much more confident about our offer on the house than I did when we started. If you've ever run across a professional where you just hope they will be around for a while so that you can use them again when you need them, that's how we feel about Mark and Jacob. There are not enough words to capture how wonderful Mark is and how amazing he is at his job. Everything about the process was quick, efficient, and utterly painless. That's not to say he wasn't thorough! It's more of a testament to his experience and professionalism; he knew exactly what he needed to test, had all the requisite tools, and has such a high tech set up that instantly translates his comments into a pdf for you at the end of the visit. I'm not even sure where to begin... other than BOOK YOUR INSPECTION NOW! These guys are beyond thorough and they are quick on the report return! Which is important when you're in a contract to purchase a home and there are time constraints. We were unable to be present for our inspection, but this didn't stop Jacob from still giving 110%. Down to what some might consider "knitt-picky" items listed. I just know that if I'm spending the money I am on a home, I want to ensure the home isn't a "painted pig". Mike has been the most thorough home inspector that I have experienced, and I've seen a few for my pre-buy home inspection.
