Tour the Museum At The Brig, go hiking of one of many trails, camp at one of their numerous camp sites, play disc golf, bring a lunch & picnic along the shoreline of Lake Pend Oreille, the largest lake in ID. Fishing, sailing or boating. Visit the beautiful viewpoint at the end of South Rd. Shooting ranges or even a model airplane flying field! However, I must say their gift shops are somewhat lacking. As soon as we arrived the people in front of us quickly got stuck because of the boulders that are placed everywhere. The people that work there sat in the golf cart and proceeded to watch them for thirty minutes. My spouse had to help with 3 others to jiggle a boulder so they can gain an inch of room. The area where they ask you to put up tents on are white rock filled area next to our fire pit and picnic table. We were asked to not use the "ground" dirt to camp but did point out many tents using this. The rules are ridiculous, no hammocks , and if you are disabled and use a cane like I do good luck maneuvering around the unnecessary costly boulders that are not an improvement but a waste of cost. Never again will I or seventeen others visit again. Enjoy your boulders.

My husband is probably scared of horses, so he made me signed myself up, knowing I am not fond of horse riding (the first time I was on a horse was when I was 9 years old). It was an easy find to go to the ranch. We walked into the meeting area, where we were briefed by the 2 guides about the horse and basic steps on how to maneuver with the horses in case they decide to stray off or something, but keep in mind these horses are able to keep up with single trail walking as long as they're feeling it and you as a rider aren't too nervous and tense because animals can sense your emotion, too! My horse just decided to stray off on his own for a bit, but I was able to guide him back to the group with the guide's help. My horse also decided that it was fun to run up the hill for a bit, and I was able to pull back on his reign to make him stop. Not the horse'a fault. It's animal's instinct. The part that really freaked me out most was when we all walked single line along the steep hill. I didn't want to look to my left because I didn't want to die. The horses are smart enough to not stray off from the path, so that was good. The ride is really 1 hour long like advertised in the payment. Remember that you will be greeted in the beginning, be introduced to your riding horse, be saddled up, be riding the whole way with 1 guide in the front of the line and 1 guide at the back of the line supervising, and be gone for about 1 good hour (ground level , up the hill, down the hill, then back to the ranch). The guides are really good about keeping up with the safety of the group, and the horses are good with their temperament. After the ride is over, the guides will help you get down from the horses and ask if you'd want some water and you are finished with your horse riding adventure. The horses around this ranch are muscular and well-taken care of, so .... No complain from me! Yes, my horse also wanted to snack some hay after the ride because he saw some hay from one of the stalls. I also got to see horse pooping and urinating, so how glorious was that ?

The golf helper was happy to take our cart and even put my rental clubs back into the pro shop for me. Great experience highly recommend whether you're playing solo or with your family.

Plus all the games are insanely expensive like $3-7 for maybe a 1-3 min game. We reloaded our wrist bands and it seemed all the games make it so you have to keep putting money on your wristband and can't quite play any game without doing that OR you just leave without using the full amount that you paid because there aren't any games that cost less than what's left on your wristband. Mini golf was alright All in all, it's a fun family place but some improvements could be made for sure!

What it has going for it: - good fencing, gates and entry area - decent size run - dog drinking fountain - poop bags provided - limited views of river What it has going against it: - no small dog run - ground cover is packed dirt...bad drainage - no shade - limited seating - no parking close to run When they were planning Riverstone Park I am sure they needed to check off the box for a dog park, but I think it was at the bottom of the list of priorities since there doesn't seem a lot of thought was put into the planning of this dog park. Access is from the Centennial Trail. The closest parking is on West Suzanne Rd or you will have to park at the parking lot for Riverstone Park and walk over 1/3 mile to this dog run. This public dog run/park is being used mostly by the tenants of the adjacent Riverstone apartments. Add shading, more seating and better ground cover and this is a 3 star dog park/run. Fixed the drainage issue, add a small dog run and better access and this could be a 4 star dog run/park.

The north side of the park has an expansive sloped lawn that is kept lush and tidy. It's great for resting and lying in the sun, but doesn't serve as well for sports and games since it's on a pretty steep incline. Moving south across the parking area, you'll find access to the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens, which are a real hidden gem. The gardens are well-tended, secluded, and wonderfully arranged. The downside is that the gardens are gated and kept on a separate schedule. The schedule isn't great in the best of times (IMO) and during Covid it's been completely shut down. Running alongside the gardens is the "Tiger Trail" which is basically a set of rough-hewn stone steps leading up to the overlook on W. Cliff Drive. Great views up here and it is a popular place for folks to park, stroll, or lounge briefly and take in the views. The surrounding neighborhood is also a sight to behold and worthy of a walking tour in its own right.
