Ohhhh my gooodness! If you have never been here, you need to drive here immediately. There is so much space and activities for all ages! We had to park in the parking lot and pay for parking ($1.35 for an hour) via the ParkMobile app which was super easy to set up and get going. Then we walked over to the park entrance and let the kids go wild. They went to the splash pad, the park area and ran around in the grass. The splash pad was the best and there is plenty of seating for parents. The park is clean and well maintained. There are bathrooms nearby which are kept clean and tidy. Will for sure be back!

Great park that's clean and well maintained! Play structures are suitable for a range of ages which is great! Only thing we miss on hot days is that there is very little shade.

As I was wandering around the downtown area I came up on a large clean lawn and visibly said out loud, "Wow". It's a huge and pretty flat grassy area where you can do anything from playing football, throwing around a frisbee, or even just lay a blanket out and sun tan. It's so big that you can probably have all those things happening at the same time and there would still be room. I didn't realize just how big this park was until I kept walking and saw the entire layout and saw that there was a whole other section. There's a playground, a splashpad, tennis/pickleball, basketball, and even a dog park. There really is something for everyone in the family. The only thing is that the parking lot next to the park is a paid one unless you're able to snag one of the two hour parking spots on the street.

Basketball court and playground for kids ... family friendly

This park looked too perfect with its expansive manicured green lawn, basketball court, and brightly colored children's playground equipment! Even the bathrooms (from the outside) looked so clean and perfect, it made me wonder if people even used this park? But, yes, they do, as we saw families with their children using the equipment and people walking their dogs around the park's paced path. In fact, Coeur d'Alene is a very dog friendly place! It seemed there were 3 dogs for every 1 person. Lol. A lovely setting near the lake and Tubbs Hill, I could imagine having a concert on that green lawn!

Wow-what an awesome setting for a park with Tubbs Hill and hiking trails connected to this large area big enough for picnics, walks; it has a large playground for the kids, benches and swinging gliders to relax on; a fountain and access to walk around the lake on the floating boardwalk or get into the area. The parking lot behind the library is free. Most other ones in the area require payment.

I was really impressed how big clean and well taken care of the park is. Lots of parking and right along the lake also includes the boat dock. Restaurants close by and restrooms in the park

Clean, well-maintained, very pretty views, and my kids loved it. Would come back again hopefully in the summertime to use all the facilities that are available to the public. P

The best playground & Park ever! There's a place for everyone of all ages. From playground & splash pad for toddlers & greens, amphitheater's, restaurant with views for adults. Thank you to all those who made this park happen. We truly enjoyed it as a family.

What a great place to bring the whole family! The toys are out of this world. There's a sand pit complete with all those cool digging tools every kid wants to play with. The play structure itself is BIG and full of fun slides, monkey bars and things to scale. There's also a covered patio with plenty of picnic tables, very well maintained bathrooms, a splash pad for the summer months, four basketball courts and plenty of grassy knolls for running, rolling, and ball throwing. You can't beat the location either--just steps off the main Coeur D'Alene drag, Sherman.

    Really cool water park area

This is an amazing park for kids of all ages. Nice toddler area and huge play set for big kids. The family bathroom is heated and has a changing table. Score!!! My son loved the playground! The park has many paved trails that are great for a stroller walk or a bike ride. It also has beautiful nature trails and beautiful views of the lake. In a word... Awesome!!!!

Coeur d'Alene has a charming downtown waterfront and it's here where you'll find this Tubbs Hill Trail. I believe hiking along Tubbs Hill represents the city of Coeur d'Alene well. It's an easy 2 mile round trip loop that oversees the harbor from a distance. Basically, it's a perfectly fine nature trail. There are 26 or 27 posted marker signs along the trail to guide you (including a halfway point). It's absolutely impossible to get lost, lol. To be specific on where Tubbs Hill Trail officially begins, you can find the starting point right next to the Rotary Harbor House (which looked like a relaxing spot to grab some fish tacos and catch views from the pier). Since the hike is a loop, if you begin by going off to the right hand side, there are spots along the way to descend down the rockside and go swimming in Lake Coeur d'Alene. I noticed a lot of people were relaxing and lounging out on the rocks while taking refreshing breaks in the water. If this sounds enticing, then remember to bring your bathing suit and a towel, lol. The first part of the hike offers panoramic lookouts of not only the boats docked beside the waterfront, but also the historical landmark - Hotel Coeur d'Alene. Eventually you wrap your way around in a circle getting to enjoy the great outdoors. It's a chance to breathe in fresh air from the lake without having to work hard. There's barely any incline/decline along the 2 mile path. It took me one hour to complete the hike. Lastly, parking can be difficult in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Independence Point is a popular area to park, but they do charge by the hour and every spot was occupied when I arrived in the middle of the day. I resorted to parking on a sidestreet next to the Coeur d'Alene shopping district. Though, cars on side streets are only permitted for 2 hour intervals at a time. Overall, Tubbs Hill Trail was a pleasant hiking activity. Pair it with maybe taking a cruise out on the lake or walking around the Boardwalk Marina (the "world's longest floating boardwalk" if you can believe) and you'll discover the best of what Coeur d'Alene has to offer.

What it has going for it: - good fencing, gates and entry area - decent size run - dog drinking fountain - poop bags provided - limited views of river What it has going against it: - no small dog run - ground cover is packed dirt...bad drainage - no shade - limited seating - no parking close to run When they were planning Riverstone Park I am sure they needed to check off the box for a dog park, but I think it was at the bottom of the list of priorities since there doesn't seem a lot of thought was put into the planning of this dog park. Access is from the Centennial Trail. The closest parking is on West Suzanne Rd or you will have to park at the parking lot for Riverstone Park and walk over 1/3 mile to this dog run. This public dog run/park is being used mostly by the tenants of the adjacent Riverstone apartments. Add shading, more seating and better ground cover and this is a 3 star dog park/run. Fixed the drainage issue, add a small dog run and better access and this could be a 4 star dog run/park.
