Make-Me-Up and her team were simply amazing, from responding to your emails to making a schedule for the day of the wedding to accommodating all of my bridesmaids and myself. Originally I had booked my makeup and hair artist a year ago, but that individual raised her prices and did not let me know until two weeks before my wedding. I was freaking out, in a panic and upset about what had occurred. So, in search of a new makeup and hair stylist, for my wedding to accommodate my bridal party at the hotel in Marine Del Rey. I called serval places, but Make-Me-Up was the only one who responded quickly and her prices were extremely affordable. Melissa called me back right away and she was very polite and professional and we set a date that same day for me to go and do my makeup and hair trail. The trail was great, as Melissa and her team listened to what I wanted and what look I was going for. Melissa and her team came to the hotel and used a silicone based foundation airbrush to set the foundation for all of my bridesmaids and myself. My hair and makeup turned out great and I couldn't have been more happier. The makeup and hair lasted the whole night and I really enjoyed the fact the Melissa and her team were professional, prompt and overall well experienced with the application of the makeup and hair. I just want to start off by saying Melissa is the most talented makeup artist I have encountered...ever! I hate getting my make up done. I never come out the way I imagine. But Melissa made me look like a amazing. I'm super self conscious and I even knew I looked pretty! I couldn't stop smiling. She really made me feel like a princess on my wedding day. Can I just say Melissa is a miracle worker!!!! My friend hired her to do our makeup for an outdoor San Diego Valentines day wedding.... In a nutshell, Melissa is the sweetest and most genuine person. After what seemed like an exhaustive search, I finally decided to do my make-up and hair trial with Melissa and her hair partner, Christina Alba. I felt I was taking a big risk since neither had done an Indian wedding before. But I just couldn't justify the cost of Indian hair/make up people who were charging $1200 just for my make-up and hair alone! I was extremely pleased with my trial. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Melissa! I stumbled across her website through yelp and decided to set up a trial for my upcoming wedding. I came in without a very clear idea of what I wanted (all I knew is I wanted something glamorous, i.e. "Kardashian like" - smokey eyes and big lashes) and the look Melissa came up with was perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. It was the perfect mix of classic and glamorous! p.s. - her prices include airbrush makeup which was amazing and something a lot of other makeup artists charge extra for! On the day of the wedding Melissa was early (she arrived at the venue before me!) and made sure all the bridesmaids (and me!) were done on time. We had a wide range of makeup looks (some bridesmaids wanted a more natural look, some (like me!) wanted something a bit more "glamorous!) and every single one of the bridesmaids absolutely loved their makeup. One of the girls was getting married a few months later and wished she didn't already book a makeup artist because she preferred Melissa's work to the makeup artist she hired!
