Code Louisville also offers a bevy of additional resources, like job readiness workshops, one day workshops like "Salesforce", help on resumes, mentors available daily, and more. You can tell that they truly care about your success, and they are invested in it. My hope is that the grant funding for this facility continues, and can impact the city immensely to motivate more investment in tech talent. During my graduation event, I was able to meet recruiters from several companies, plus Lieutenant Governor Jeanine Hampton, and Mayor Greg Fischer, who is a big proponent of the programs here. Make sure to note the time and date of your class. I didn't receive any text or email reminders after the purchase confirmation. I've attended the Power Tools 101 and the Woodworking 101 classes. Prices for both were incredibly reasonable. Instructors for both were awesome. You can tell they care about the mission of helping people create and build things while using the equipment safely. Along with the power tools you can use in the co-working makerspace, there's a 3-D printer and laser cutter available. If you want to use the woodworking equipment outside of class time, you'll need to take their certification class. Everyone I met was super welcoming. Very Louisville Tool Library vibes. Highly recommend. FirstBuild is next to UofL's Belknap campus. They have designated parking spaces. I had zero issues finding spots near the door.

She didn't just point me to the machine and walk away - she walked me through the process, helped me dial in the settings on the laser, and made sure my design came out exactly the way I'd imagined it.
