When a friend recruited me last minute as a model for a shoot, a panic creeped up inside of me. I don't trust myself to do my own makeup, much less so when it comes to doing my hair (No seriously. I can barely put my hair in a ponytail). With that said, I was given less than 24 hours to find a makeup artist. Catherine had worked at my friend's wedding and was recommended to me with a raving review, so she was the first person I contacted. Her website contact form had a friendly note that encouraged people to call "if you just want that voice to voice experience," and so I did. What an experience it was!!! Catherine was warm, bubbly, and accommodating over the phone. I instantly felt at ease talking to her about the services I needed, and best of all - she was available wake up early and do my hair and makeup the next morning. I was so happy at that point that I could've given her 5 stars without even meeting her. But I waited on writing a review until after the shoot. ;) Everything went wonderfully the next morning and I can now vouch for her talent and lovely personality. I would understand being charged a cancellation fee if it was for a superfluous reason, but this was entirely out of my control. When I brought up how ridiculous it was to charge me for an unforeseen emergency when I was not canceling simply attempting to reschedule, I was told to not make appointments and just call for walk in appointments or daily schedules since my "schedule wasn't firm" from their perspective. As unfortunate as it is that I can't see Christa anymore, it is because of the salon management and not anything she did.
