Where to start? Maybe the very beginning. After my engagement, I started researching vendors. The first thing I was looking for is the makeup artist. Most important vendor, right? I checked yelp, insta, and google. I probably checked over 50 makeup artists online. Reviewed their websites over and over. And finally I found Chelsea. Might I say, her website is perfection. Her before and after shots had me SOLD. Dare I say, it was love at first sight? She responded to my email very quickly. Within hours, I had all my questions answered and I had her booked. I had my makeup trial a couple of weeks before the wedding at her in-home studio. Her studio is every girl's dream come true. I think she owns every piece of makeup possible. And talk about studio lighting! I could've spent all day in there just taking selfies. I showed Chelsea my Pinspiration board and she started to do her thing! About an hour later, I came out looking AMAZING. I swear, I'm not vain or anything. Chelsea just did an amazing job. She is the CONTOUR queen. My makeup was done at 11 AM, I went back to work, went to the gym and got home around 10 PM. I looked in the mirror to see what was left on my face and I was shocked to find that EVERYTHING was still on my face. Nothing came off, smudged or shifted. I knew she was the one for me at that moment. The wedding day was even more exciting. Chelsea and her assistant arrived on time, fully prepared. Really important since they had a full day ahead of them. On there schedule was one bride, 5 bridesmaids and even the groom and one groomsman. They certainly had their hands full, but it didn't stress them one bit. The entire time was filled with great conversation and tons of laughs. We had such a great time getting ready with them, I forgot all the stress that I probably should have felt on my wedding day. We made some last minute tweaks on my wedding day look and I didn't even know it was possible, but I looked even better than my trial! Chelsea made me look like a princess. Equally as important, she made my bridal party look bomb.com. Ultimate #squadgoals. My entire bridal party (including me) balled our eyes out during the ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, the photographer wanted to take bridal party pictures. We all were panicking that we had messed up our makeup. We were all REALLY surprised to find that our faces were still in tact and there were no tear marks on our faces. I had booked Chelsea exclusively for the entire day. I think it is a bridal necessity. She touched up my makeup and made a few dramatic changes for the reception portion. I looked amazing all night and even in the AM. I didn't want to wash my makeup off. I considered keeping it through my wedding brunch but my HUSBAND said I needed to shower :( Guess I'll need to have another wedding so I can get my makeup done all over again! read more

My initial makeup trial went better than I had hoped for which made up for the long drive from OC to Corona for the trial. I found Chelsea through Yelp like 2 days before I was getting married. I was just going down to the Laguna Hills civic center so I hadn't even thought about makeup or hair. I needed someone to do my make up at 6am on NYE since I needed to be in Laguna Hills by 9am. I knew it was last minute and I might not be able to find someone since it was so late notice. So a few weeks ago I had no care in the world to bother looking for someone to do my makeup for my best friends bachelorette party but when I came across Chelsea's page I just had to have her do my makeup! I found Chelsea through my venue at Villa de Amore. I was so thrilled that she had my wedding date available since she had received so many great reviews and her pictures of her previous work was amazing. I first had her do my makeup for our engagement photos which turned out simply gorgeous. Even though I had makeup on I still felt like myself and not like an overdone Barbie doll with makeup that doesn't blend in. Chelsea used the makeup to enhance my features!
