Jamie was exactly what I was hoping for in a makeup artist for our wedding. She is so professional, and her work is just amazing. She did my makeup as well as 7 other bridesmaids/family members and they all looked incredible! She took time with each of us, not making us feel rushed and the timing worked out perfectly. Wow! Jamie is incredible! I hired Jamie for my wedding, and it was one of the best decisions I made throughout the planning process. Her prompt response, timeliness, and professionalism is amazing - she made it is easy on me, which is very much appreciated. She did my makeup, the makeup for the bridal party, and my mom. She did an amazing job figuring out what everyone wanted and made sure we looked and felt perfect! We all felt like superstars! Also, the makeup had some serious staying power. It ended up being 100 degrees out, tons of dancing, sweating, running around, outdoor ceremony - and at 2 a.m., we still looked good! I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Jamie. She canceled our trial the day before and then was not flexible with rescheduling, offering me a 9am appt on a weekday when I had a work presentation or an option 3 days before my wedding. When asked about several other dates, she said she had no other availability to fit me in. After canceling for the wedding because we could not find a time for the trial, I asked for my deposit back three times. She forgot the first time, was non responsive the second time,and then said she sent it and "it has cleared my bank account" the third time I contacted her. I never received the check so I definitely didn't deposit her check. She didn't respond beyond that. Overall, she was not flexible or helpful during the whole process and I never received my deposit back. I would not recommend her. read more

I would definitely not recommend hiring Jamie Brown's services. In all of my wedding planning Jamie has been the worst professional to work with. After I had to initiate communication and set up a time for our trial run, Jamie canceled at the last minute. It took two days to reschedule our appointment and the date we finally agreed on was ten days before my wedding with a tentative appointment. I once again had to initiate communication to confirm our appointment, which she still did not confirm. When we finally agreed on a time, Jamie messaged me fifteen minutes before we were supposed to meet that she would be another hour. Ten days before my wedding, a full-time teacher, a full-time grad student, getting married, and moving, and I had to make time for Jamie's poor time management. After I canceled Jamie's services, because she failed to arrive to our appointment, she refused to give me my money back. After fighting with two different services, I left with only half of my down payment and now I am out more money for my new makeup artist. Do not hire this service, you will not get what is promised. read more
