So I went in here after a horrible experience at another salon. I specifically noted this in the…read morenotes section of my booking. The girl who did my hair is new and honestly she was very sweet, I do believe she did the best she could. My issue is with the owner, her horrible customer service and the fact she is not capable of simply admitting when something is not as it should be. She for some reason is under the impression she can treat people however she wants and I'm assuming that attitude is why almost everyone who worked there has now left. I spent 855 dollars to have my hair done. I had k tips and tape in extensions installed. Attempting to cover the fact the other salon had burned my hair off with a horrible bleach job. I also had my hair colored to try and have everything blend better. I was there all day. I have never had k tips so I was not aware how they should look or be installed. Long story short the girl who installed them had not done them before ( like I said almost all the stylists here have left, most likely due to the owner) so she installed them incorrectly. My hair was pulled in odd directions and the partings were not clean so hairs were pulled and then stuck with keratin, I woke up the next morning in pain. I tried to just not think about it thinking this was normal. I was unable to brush or wash my hair properly due to the large pieces of keratin in my hair. This was in the very top front of my head. Not only was it painful it was very obvious to look at. There are so many more issues I've had after this original appointment I could write a book I've now reported the owner to DORA and the bbb. She refuses to refund my money even tho I had to have another salon remove ALL the hair that BelloHaven installed not even 2WEEKS later. I sent pictures of my hair I sent documentation of all the money I've spent fixing the mess they made. And the owner continues to refuse to acknowledge that what I paid for isn't what I got. Going to file in small claims on Monday. The extension hair they have here is decent at best..there's plenty of other places to get hair tho. Just don't go here. The owner thinks she's above basically everyone. There's a reason why almost every stylist that was working here has now left. They are over priced, and the work isn't good period. The owner will just completely ignore you if you reach out with any concerns. I spent almost 1000 just to be in pain and then have to take all the hair out not even 2 weeks later.

I have been a regular at Namaste Salon for the past ... five? six? ... years? However, my stylist…read morethrough all those years recently decided to move to another salon in the area to shorten her commute. While I will follow her to the new salon, if I have any problems there or anything changes such that I need a new stylist I will not hesitate to come back to Namaste. I have to commend them in particular for their handling of COVID precautions throughout the pandemic. I was particularly nervous about whether it was worth the risk to get my hair done when things first started opening back up after the lockdown last spring, but decided to give it a try after talking through all of the precautions they were taking with my stylist. They were limiting the number of clients/stylists/other staff in the salon, requiring masks, doing temperature checks and waivers before you came into the salon, and asking everyone to wash their hands upon first entering the salon. I could see that they had implemented new disinfection procedures for common-use items (pens, bowls/brushes for color, maybe combs and such? There were stacks of bins with these materials by the sink ...) and were disinfecting chairs in between clients. My stylist's normal station was the one closest to the door, but she moved me to one of the upstairs stations so I wouldn't be in the high traffic area while my color was processing (generally at least 1.5 if not 2 hours). They kept up these precautions all the way through my last appointment at the end of March. I'm sure things will be getting back to normal, now that people are getting vaccinated and the state and county are easing public health restrictions, but I appreciated their commitment to doing things right -- not just the COVID precautions, but doing right by their clients, as well. Although I had already received a text from my stylist letting me know that she was moving, the salon did call me to let me know. They offered to rebook me with another stylist if I preferred, but no pressure. I know that this can be a cutthroat business -- at a previous salon I found out about my stylist pursuing other career opportunities when I showed up for an appointment and found they had "done me the favor" of rebooking me with the stylist that they just hired -- so I appreciate the way Namaste handled this. Having said all of that, I will leave you with a parking tip -- schedule your appointments for the evenings or Saturdays so you can easily park in the courthouse parking lot, which is just a block away (but from the end of May to early October make sure to schedule around the Saturday morning Farmers' Market).

He toned the red out and gave me a smooth blow out and finished it with the flat iron to really smooth the ends. I do hair and I really just went to the salon to have a relaxing experience. The color wasn't great (kinda brassy) and he took me in the lobby for better light -- my roots were still showing in places. Then he took me inside and was like, "since I'm new here, you get to name your own price. My rates are usually $... for a root touch up, and $... for a cut." Can't remember the exact numbers, but his normal price was close to $500 for both of those things. Maybe that's normal for this area, but I've never spent that much for a touch up and trim. And there was this awkward interaction between us where I was like, "I don't want to insult you, but I've never paid that much for my hair..." And he suggested over $300 and I was like, okay... which is still more than I've ever paid for my hair, but I'm not from this area, so again, this could be completely normal. I think the negotiating part at the end just left me feeling scammed. It was definitely my bad for not asking up front about pricing, but I was not expecting that cost and it wasn't the best hair experience I've ever had either. I guess I could see paying that much if my hair looked amazing, but it was just okay.

They are not constantly playing loud music that is someone else's taste in music. Just sit back and relax. Everyone seems very talented in their broad variety of specialties. They do specialize in services for all ethnicities and gender fluid clients; including styles for curly hair, fine/thin hair, coloring, hair extensions, facials, nails, eye lashes and more.
