I would typically never do this, but unfortunately I experienced an occurrence so terrible I found it necessary to warn others. Roughly 8 months ago my friend got married and used Makeup by Roxy, at which point I was introduced to the make up artist, Bobbie Joe. She did our makeup which we all loved, she's very talented. However, her talents aren't limited to makeup. Bobbie Joe isn't just a makeup artist, she's also SCAM artist. We discovered weeks later that we didn't get what we paid for. Each of us paid an extra $50 for the use of high end products. Bobbie told us the normal fee for this upgrade was $75, but if we paid her cash she would give us a discount. Who wouldn't want to save $25, of course we paid cash. Based off of her skills, and obviously before knowing what a deceitful person Bobbie was, I was asking her for when I plan my wedding, how do I go about requesting her as our makeup artist. Bobbie then proceeded to give me a business card (which nowhere on the card did it say Makeup by Roxy), she told me I could reach out to her at Bobbie Joe Bridal. I knew I wanted her services so I gave her a $350 cash deposit. As my wedding date was quickly approaching, I tried reaching out to Bobbie countless times to schedule our makeup session. Weeks had passed and she had not returned any of my calls or emails. Her number has been changed. Her website has been removed. I decided to cut my losses and find another artist. While searching, I found Bobbie had changed her business name to Bridal by Bobby Joe. I tried to contact her again at no prevail; number no longer in service, website no longer active, all red flags. BOBBIE JOE a scammer. She's a thief. She's a con artist. Bobbie is still working under Roxy's business name robbing her clients and stealing money right out from under them. We reached out to Roxy to explain our experience and we were told (arrogantly at that), "We'll look into it." read more

Roxy did my npc bikini competition makeup and hair. First off, my hair DOES NOT hold a curl. Emily was able to work a miracle. My hair was done by 6am and it lasted until I went to bed that night. Jon did my makeup. You know it's good when you look amazing in every picture no matter which angle. And since bikini competitors all seem to have the same good side, it's extra important lol. Hi Roxy, I just wanted to let you know that I just got my makeup done by Mel for my graduation photos and I couldn't be happier. Not only did she listen to everything I wanted, but she made recommendations of what might be better in certain lights since I am getting my photos professionally done. Mel is Picasso with a makeup brush. She is so professional, kind, and a natural born talent. You can tell that this is her gift and she was born to do makeup. I would recommend her 100 times over for anyone looking to get their makeup professionally done. I also would normally never say this, but $75 is a steal to have her do your makeup. I would probably pay up to $150 to have her personally do my makeup. She is just that good and her work can not be replicated. So let's start off by stating I am quite fair skinned. I make those chumps from Twilight look like they are extras on The Jersey Shore, but I digress. I am a man and I have been spray tanned. It was one time, I was drunk, and it was Mexico... I digress. The environment for the spray tanning is nice and calm. The spray tanner, Roxy, was more than knowledgeable when it came to finding a color for me that didn't look obnoxious. After booking all of my other vendors, I nearly forgot the book one of the most important ones, the one that's going to make you and your crew look GOOD of course!  I was lucky to find Roxy and sure enough, she still had some stylists available for our special day on 9/7/2019. I used Makeup by Roxy for my Wedding day on 8-2-14. She is amazing at what she does!! I have very large pores, acne prone skin and oily skin...you would have never guessed by my wedding pictures!! She covered up everything and her work lasted 14+ hours until I washed it off. Also, she has a great personality and changed the look I wanted the day of after we had everything planned and I decided on a different look. I was a nervous wreck on my wedding day but she helped easy my nerves by making me look like a princess on my wedding day.
