Only went here because they had 20% off hair coloring. I wanted a natural reddish color with a coppery tint. The stylist started lathering my heir with bleach without letting me know she was bleaching my never-been-bleached-before hair. She also didn't touch my roots and gave me bright copper hair. I accept the blame, I gave stupid anxiety issues and knew I would have gone into a full-on ugly cry if I'd said I hated it. Lesson learned, will never step foot in here again or recommend to anyone but a foe. Also the ceiling tiles are water stained and walls have marks. Not very clean. After complaining to management, the manager fixed my hair (she dyed it brown with a red tint; gave up on my Dream hair color) and she was sarcastic about the ordeal. Worse dye job and hair cut ever! I told the stylist that I did not want any red. My hair turned out a reddish brown! I asked for a vertical trim; I got instead a chopped cut, which is what I wanted to avoid; and one side longer than the other. I wasted $119 plus tip (I went on Wednesday to get the discount, and she FORGOT to deduct it and could not issue a refund). I made an appointment elsewhere to correct the problems. I got my hair cut here as a recommendation from my sister. She gets her hair cut here often as she enjoys the way her stylist cuts it. The hair cut itself was good. I didn't get anything crazy done, just a few inches off. I do really like the way it looks and think my stylist did a great job. Not to mention the cut was only $19, which I feel is a great price for a women's cut. I am giving this place a low review because of cleanliness. The place itself is not very clean and stylists did not seem to follow guidelines for how the place should be kept. I came here with my sister and my nephew, as we were all getting cuts. After finishing my cut, my stylist did not even sweep up my hair before cutting my nephew's. This to me is a serious red flag and I find it to be quite disturbing. What if I had sat in that chair with a floor full of a strangers hair before getting mine cut? I would have walked right out of there. They also left my sisters hair sitting on the floor for nearly 20 minutes before somebody got around to cleaning it up. Hair should be swept up immediately after the cut is done, not left on the floor. As much as I like my haircut, I will probably not be returning here. If you are incapable of blending two moderately close lengths you have no business telling me to sit on the chair!!! I look like I went to the barber school for a freebie on the second day of class!!! I guess there's a reason I haven't been here in a few years, I will definitely not make this mistake again! !!!! She made a bald spot and had to even it all out so now it's soooooo shirt where it's would normally be a blended transition from the longer length on top to the side....nope... shaved right to zero blend. Cuts are somewhat above average but plus for me has been the fact that they take walk ins which is rather a necessity for me because of a very erratic work schedule. However over the five years I have been coming here, attention to customers had gone from good to non existent. It is very rare that anyone is at reception desk. Customers just sign a book. No one ever comes out to give an estimated wait time. Even waiting customer volume is no clue since someone with at appointment often comes in. Stylists come out to take a client and deliberately avoid eye contact with others waiting. This place seriously needs hands on management. read more
