I was in Scranton for a wedding. I had "yelped" this salon a couple weeks before, but decided I could do my own hair and makeup myself. As I was walking around the area I realized I was close by and decided to go in. So glad I did, they were able to take me the next day (day of the wedding). Selena (sp?) did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup, asked questions about what I wanted. Really liked how I looked and it lasted all day and night. Cute one-stop salon, you can get it all done here! Good customer service, reasonable priced. If I ever visit Scranton again, I know where to come. read more

Had an appointment at the clark's summit location and no one was there when i arrived. i called the Scranton location to let them know, and they did some research to try and find out where the girl was but at that point it was too late because I only had so much time because I was off for the holiday from work and my son was at daycare and I needed to be able to get all my appointments that i wanted to get done that day or risk losing out on not being able to do one of my appointments as o am a single mom. I made the appointment about a month in advance and when the salon in scranton called me back to let me know the girl could come to do my appointment about and hour late no incentive or anything was offered for the mix up. Thankfully i found a salon close to clark's summit that was willing to take a walk in. extremely unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Finally!!! I've finally found a colorist that does an amazing job and even great at cutting, Brazilian blow outs too ! I love that the staff is all cross-trained so you can always have what you need done just right. I don't know why blond highlights are such a difficult task to perfect in Scranton but I went to other high end salons (the big 2, I'm sure you know which I'm referring to) and they couldn't get it right. At RD, Rebecca color corrected and gave me the California, sunny yellow blond I love (not the icy tone that's popular right now, but not what *I* want or like on myself)......everyone is different so you can't push what's popular on someone that knows what they like/how they want their hair done.... I am very happy that I've found RD and will be a regular, as will my teenage daughter- she loves to brighten up her naturally blond hair with highlights....she's more of an ash blond than me, I'm more yellow and I'm sure they'll see that and adjust as needed ! :) ps...since I was there for 4.5 hours, lol, I saw a lot of girls and women come and go and all of them left with an awesome blow out. Def. a great place for a quick blow out and nicely priced. My total was 425$ but I had a lot done: color, foils and Brazilian blowout. I think a simple blowout is only 30$ as everything is reasonable for what you are getting (high quality technicians that know what they are doing- well trained, etc.) read more

This place is amazing - they are always trying to fit in any of your last-minute appointments and the staff are respectful, kind, and fun! They have almost a menu-style of hairstyles to choose from and they blow out hair exceptionally, without a single kink or stray hair. They can cater to any of your needs, ex. product or no product, but the only services I've experienced here is the blow-drying or hair styling. The staff are amazing and trained professionally, and the receptionists are super sweet! read more

I went here for the first time and I don't think I will be going back. The hairdresser I had, pulled and yanked on my hair so hard during the whole process. She did not apologize once. I understand I have incredibly thick hair and it is a pain to take care of, but when you are blowing drying my hair and I am almost in tears from the pain...there is a problem. It is day 2 and my head is still in so much pain, and that is the only reason I am writing this review. I was going to let it go but I can not! I gave the studio a 2 because she did do a great job on the color...but I just think she needs a lighter hand when handling customers hair. read more

Awful, absolutely awful! Why? I received a less than elaborate suppose to be full pedicure, which is suppose to last 60mins! Well, I received less than. I believe I was discriminated against because of my attire. Shame on you, Molly. You had them charge for a full pedicure and it was not a full pedicure. I received less than 40 mins of time. I did not receive a scrub, wrap or massage on feet and calves. Never, ever will I recommend this place. I was there once before and treated with respect and dignity. Shame on all of you. Staff is fantastic! So welcoming and personable. Service and talent of staff is phenomenal.

The atmosphere and vibe was awesome. I was really looking forward to getting services at RD. The owner, Rosie, is completely unprofessional. I reached out to complain about how my hair and make up didn't last more than 2 hours for a photo shoot. Told me she would not credit my services and hung up on me mid sentence attempting to explain my side not once, but TWICE for calling to complain that I was dissatisfied with my hair and makeup. Her lack of professionalism when dealing with an unhappy (rightfully so) customer and being the owner is insane. If you're looking to book an appointment for Hair or makeup for an event or photo shoot, I would definitely look elsewhere. I'd hate to have a bride or someone pay for services that do not last. read more
