So we just had some giant pine trees taken down between our house and the neighbors ( they were on our property lines) house on Friday. We have been talking about if for years with our neighbors. So we got some quotes and so did they. Malec ended up being to best price, which honestly made me a little nervous. It was our neighbors final decision seeing the trucks needed to be in their yard, so went with them. They did an awesome job. Professional, neat, and thorough. We had to take down an extremely tall Pine tree and a twin Oak tree in our backyard in a spot almost impossible to get trucks to. We sought 3 quotes. Malec came out the same day I called with a reasonable quote and said they could get their equipment to the tree. Another company took a week to come out and quoted a price twice as high as Malec. The third was just a little higher but said they could not get equipment back there; they'd have to use a crane over the house and could not even come to do the job for 2 months. Obviously, we went with Malec. Within a week of giving them the contract, they showed up to take down the trees. They were extremely careful, very professional and did an amazing job. Within 7 hours they were done with everything, cleaned everything up and made sure we were happy before they left. Malec was recommended by my usual arborist to handle a serious problem. I had a very dangerous situation at the edge of my property line where two of my (80-100') pines started to come down, pushed one of my neighbor's pines over, then all three got hung up on two additional pines, hovering at about a 60 degree angle over my neighbor's driveway and utility lines. Frank came out, explained how they would handle it, and quoted me a very fair price (which even included chipping the limbs.) He also said he would move us to the top of the list since they prefer to resolve dangerous situations first. A couple of days later, the trees were safely down and my neighbor and I were very happy. They did a good job of cleaning up afterwards as well. They had the right equipment and expertise to handle the problem, and I would definitely use them again. read more

I have used different tree services over the years, but these guys were fantastic in what for me was a very sad situation. My huge and beautiful dogwood tree was ripped out of the ground in a windstorm recently. Malec Tree Service came promptly to give me a quote, then showed up in just a few days to do the work. Their quote was very reasonable and the work was well organized and managed. They had the equipment and knowledge to extricate parts of my tree from the neighbor's tree and fence and from my house without doing further damage and they cleaned up thoroughly. Highly recommend Malec tree service. Needed to have seven 75foot pine trees and one 50foot maple tree removed along my property line. My neighbor was very worried about damaging his property. I received my estimate and within a week the work was complete. This company has a fantastic crew that certainly delivered more than I expected. They showed up on time, did an excellent job, cleaned up so well it's like they were never there. They took the extra time to clean out the gutter while they had their bucket truck in the driveway. 90 ft sycamore hit by lightning last sept. Watched it die and it was threatening my house. Frank Malec inspected it and said it needs to be removed within days because of high winds. They put plywood down so trucks wouldn't cause ruts. Used the most professional equipment, cranes, etc. Removed all statuary from the area and replaced it all after. We had a huge tree over 100' crack and was hanging over the garage. Didn't know whom to call. Malec Tree Service was a local company so we thought we would try them first. They were Excellent. Came on a Sunday - tied the tree so it wouldn't fall. Came the next day and took the tree down, took away the wood. Not a single piece of the tree was left - very good job! I was given a very good price for taking down a 30 foot Ash. The job was done three days later on a rainy Tuesday morning. The job, including clean up was done in two hours. The crew did a great job.
