My daughter attended here in 2014. She was in the two year old class at the time and was a wild child. She did not like taking naps and Malena complained about this to me on several occasions. While I realize this can be a distraction, I feel there are very simple solutions to this situation if you actually try. Instead, Malena would get angry with my daughter and show it outwardly. The real problem, and the reason I'm leaving this review, is what was also the last straw for my daughter being picked up and never brought back. I received a call mid-morning and Malena left a voicemail stating that my daughter just "would not take a nap even after being held down for a half hour." Malena held my child down to force her to go to sleep. Once I got there she said that I could bring her back the next day and we could try again, I told her "no, we won't be back," and we weren't. read more

Stay away! Especially if your child is very social. This school and especially the owner does not handle sociable children at all! They expect a 4 year old to sit still ALL the time. If there is a personality conflict they blame the child, if the child doesn't like naps they blame the child, if the child likes to hug-they are inappropriate... this daycare is horrible. I personally witnessed an assistant teacher grab a little girls arm on the playground and scream at her. My grandson reported that his teacher grabbed him by his arm and shook him as well. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TEACHER.. so they are ok with putting their hands on your child! When he reported that another child touched him he was called a liar to his face and then the owner told his mother she needed teach him not to lie! This is a child that was told to go to an adult for help, that he would be protected and they called him a liar! TO HIS FACE by multiple teachers!!!! They are not prepared to handle children that have big personalities or attention issues much less a child with advanced needs. The owner is openly suggestive to have you put your child on "a pill" if she feels they are too talkative. They do not respond to request for parent-teacher meetings to resolve issues. It seemed nice and all, but the facility is zoo outdated. Specially the outdoors. Truthfully I just drove by and decided to not enroll my child. Staff may be nice, but realistically if the play area and building don't look safe to me, my child will definitely not be there.. read more

Apparently the exterior is not the only outdated thing about this place. Some friends who have had experiences with the "school" have been horrified that the instructors seem to have unrealistic expectations of what preschool-agreed children are capable of socially. They also seem to be biased and play favorites. When a friend's child came home with bite marks from another child she was told her child "was asking for it" by not sharing a toy. At two years of age. Because you know, two-year-old children are models of self-control and diplomacy. The staff told my friends they should spank, tease, and belittle their child to teach manners. Seriously? They also refused to allow a classroom observation. I am glad this place didn't land on my list for preschools. I would stear clear. read more

My son attended this school for their summer camp program. It was over priced and the front office person was lethargic and unprofessional. They issued my son a cheap & ugly plain white "summer camp" T-shirt that was two sizes too big. The overall attitude is that they are doing you a "favor" by watching your child. If it is in your budget to spend 130-150$ a week for a summer camp, I suggest you go to La Petite Academy. This school is a waste of your money. My husband and I went by last Saturday since we are looking for a VPK enrollment for our grandson. We let the lady know that because of our religious beliefs we did not celebrate the holidays or birthdays, would that be a problem? We were assured that no that would not be a problem. On the next Tuesday I went back to turn in some of the registration forms and after going over the paperwork with one of the ladies the owner and another worker asked me to come into another room to discuss something. I went in with them and after closing the door they brought up my religious beliefs. and was told that some things they would work with but not all. They mentioned as far as Christmas goes, they devote the whole month to Christmas and it would be impossible for our grandson not to be involved. As far as Halloween is concerned the owner laughed and said, " I'm a Christian too and I assure you there are no demons in here." Her assistant was very kind and was trying to be supportive but the owner was not supportive. I felt sad as I left thinking how I felt humiliated and ridiculed and how the focus should be on education not holidays... A whole month spent on a holiday? As I left I looked at the black mold growing on the building and in the play area and thought about health and safety issues. I thought, this place needs a good scrubbing - inside and out. read more
